Mr Schue had to be kidding us. Like, really kidding us. How could anyone think that having Jesse st James to help coach us would be a good idea? The one and only Mr William Schuester. And everyone, except probably Rachel, thought the same as me.

"This is the worst idea ever" I heard Tina whisper.

"I don't trust this guy" Finn stated, saying what we all had in mind. "How do we know he's not just going to trick us into doing something stupid so his alma mater wins?"

"I don't think I need much tricking to get you to do something stupid, Finn" Jesse uttered. I opened my mouth to try to talk but I couldn't. That was really rude.

"Guys," Mr Schuester said to try to make everyone calm again. "Jesse is just a consultant. I still make all the calls. Now, I have all the confidence in the world on you but I just think we could use all the help we can get. We've been working for two years for this moment and the moment is finally here. Now I was talking with Jesse and he agreed that we should continue with our successful trend of doing original songs for the competition".

"But Mr Schue we don't have any new songs" I interrumpted him. "Shouldn't we have been rehearsing for weeks now? Nationals is in two weeks and we have nothing. It worked for Regionals but I'm not really sure that it'll work for Nationals".

"Says the girl who begins to study for tests the night before" Zizes mumbled.

"I'll change my method when I stop getting good grades" I said as I crossed my arms.

"Guys!" our teacher exclaimed to stop us from arguing. "I was thinking of doing one group number and one duet".

"Rachel and I should sing a duet" Finn gladly said, surprising everyone. "We killed it last year with Faithfully at Regionals".

"Yeah, killed us. We lost" Quinn muttered.

"I agree that Rachel should sing the lead" Jesse said. I rolled my eyes. How bizarre that Jesse was going to worship Rachel. Pretends to be shocked. "But Finn, I think it's best if you sit out of this one". Wait, what? "Fact is, most of the other guys here are better singers than you and Mike Chang, who can't even sing, at least can dance. You knid of sing and dance like a zombie who has to poop".

"Oh, don't you see what's going on here?" I exclaimed trying to get everyone to stop laughing and actually listen to me. "It's obvious that Jesse is going to do everything he can to make Rachel sing the lead and to stop Finn from doing it. These two got into a fight last week and they hated each other since, like, forever! I know Rachel is one of our best singers but it isn't fair that what goes on at Nationals that, once again, affects all the team, is decided by hate. And Jesse, please, stop being such a jerk to everyone".

Everyone stared at me kind of shocked. And who could blame them? Especially if you knew that last year I was a total Jesse defender because I thought everyone deserves an oportunity. But after everything he had done and how he was behaving... Something didn't feel right about him coming back.

"Jesse, maybe you could, uh, be a little gentler with your device" Mr Schue agreed with me.

"Gentler?" he repeated, perplexed. "I'm sorry. I didn't realize that we were training for the good try ribbon at Nationals. I thought we were in it to win the whole damn thing. And there's only one way we can do that":

"Poison darts?" Brittany inquired as she bit her nails.

"The Vocal Adrenaline stragety is simple" the new assistant uttered. "Identify your best performer and build the entire performance around them".

"So what does everyone else do?" Mercedes asked.

"And who's our star performer?" Puck continued.
