"Roxy Henderson, I see you've finally joined the cheerios and all I can say is hubba hubba" Jacob Ben Israel said as he followed me down the hallway.

"Can you leave me alone?" I asked as I tighted my ponytail. "I'm late for glee club".

"That uniform has made you cool, and people want to know about you" he insisted.

"I joined the cheerios. It's no big deal. But what it is it's that this year Roxy Henderson is focusing on herself. I needed an upgrade".

"Was part of that upgrade the rumoured hook up you had with former cheerleader, Quinn Fabray? And was that a way to get over your ex, Sam Evans?"

I stopped walking, completely frozen by his words. I slowly turned around and took a deep breath before talking.

"Nothing's going on between Quinn and I and nothing has ever happened. And, come on, Sam and I broke up last spring. I think you're the ones who need to get over it. Now, if you'll excuse me" I said and, before he could continue with his interrogatory I walked into the choir room and sat on a corner, trying to organize my thoughts.

Last summer... Where to start. It had been so uneventful yet so intense. Sam left the morning after our intense talk and, besides the weekly hang out with all the New Directions, I was bored as hell. Finn and Rachel were always together and, even though if me and my best friend are together with another person it feels llike they're third-wheeling, I didn't want to bother them despite they had told me several times that I wasn't an annoyance. Same happened with Kurt and Blaine, and Mercedes went with her family to the lakes so, I was pretty alone. That's when Quinn comes up. It wasn't a secret that me and her were pretty good and close friends, especially since the last months of my sophomore year. So, when in a boring as hell night she asked me to hang around and go for a walk I obviously said yes. We ended up drinking beer in a park and, after an hour or so... Well, out of nowhere we were just kissing.

And that wasn't even the worst part. We spent the whole next week without talking to each other until one day, fed up, I went to her house to talk things out. But, I have to admit, it was a blittle bit weirder than normal.

FLASHBACK

I rang Quinn's doorbell sick of nervousness. It had been an awful week and I had really tried to call or text I just... I didn't know what to say. Sooner than what I expected she opened the door bringing me back to Earth.

"Can I come in? I really need to talk to you" I asked as I played with my hands, trying to hide my nerves. In all response she just moved and we both went upstairs to her room so we could have more privacy.

"I'm really sorry about what happened the other night" I bursted after an akward silence. "I don't want to lose our friendship just because a stupid kiss. This week without speaking to each other was awful".

"I know, I know" she uttered as she sat on the floor. "I don't know what happened. But you're totally right. I tried to text you but I just didn't know what to say".

"I know, right? It happened to me too" I said as I sat next to her. "We're good, right?"

"Yeah, yeah, of course we are" she uttered convinced. "We were drunk and bored, it was late... You are trying to get over Sam, I'm trying to find myself... It was a mistake that I suggest we don't tell anybody and that we just pretend didn't happen. But we're fine".

"Cool" I said. Silence again.

"It felt weird, right?" she asked after a minute. "Cool because I was beginning to ask myself if we really liked eachother or something" she chuckled.
