Disaster. The last two days of school had been a disaster. Everyone went surprised as hell seeing me perform with the Troubletones, but they somehow got distracted by Santana slapping Finn after it. Now I just had to make sure the New Directions didn't hate me, especially a certain blonde girl who was making me go crazy.
It all happened so fast. Everyone gasping watching me on the stage, Santana slapping Finn, both of them going to the principal's office and now the New Directions and the Troubletones are together in the choir room for a reason I don't know. Well, Finn was writing "Lady music week" on the whiteboard, so it had to mean something.
"Can someone tell us what's going on, please?" Mercedes asked.
"This week the Troubletones and New Directions will both be singing music by ladies and for ladies".
"Oh, hell no" Santana complained from the back of the room.
"Next week all of us will be going to Sectionals and one of us is probably going to win but... Santana we're worried about you" Finn said again.
"Worry about yourself, fetus-face".
"Glee is about learning how to accept yourself for who you are, no matter what other people think" my friend said, continuing with his pep talk. "And that's what this music is all about".
"So, wait, I don't even get a say in this? Not cool" the latina cheerio uttered from her seat.
"Everybody in this room knows about you and Brittany" he stated concerned. "And we don't judge you for it. We celebrate it beause it's who you are. Look, I know not everybody outside this room is as accepting and cool. We've seen it with Kurt, Roxy and every other queer person who ever exists, but we're doing this assignment this week so you know that in this rotten, stinkong mean world that you at least have a group of people who will support your choice to be whoever you want to be. That's it. That's what we're doing here. Blaine? Kurt?"
The two boys stood up and walked to the middle of the choir room as Finn sat down in silence, still staring at Santana.
"Santana," Blaine started, "Kurt and I have a song we like to sing to eachother in the car. And we want to sing it to you right now".
"While there's nothing I'd love more than having two Pretty Ponies serenade me, I think we'd get further staging a 'gel-ervention' for Blaine than singing lady music".
"I know it's hard" Kurt interrumpted her. "It was hard for me too. But you can get through this".
"If you could just stop being so defensive" Blaine tried.
"I'm trying, but your hideous bow ties are provoking me" she spat.
"Wait, are we talking lady on lady or girl on girl?" Puck suddenly asked.
"Would you please shut up?" I sighed. I exchanged a look with Blaine letting him know that it was now or never so he smiled to Brad the piano player and their performance began.
(PERFECT BY KURT AND BLAINE)
"Thank you, guys" Santana uttered with a smile. A joy wave came upon me. Maybe this lesson could work after all. "Thank you, Finn, especially. You know, with all the horrible crap I've been through in my life... Now I get to add that. Yay".
"Let her be, she's been a nervous wreck for days" I told Kurt and Blaine after the lesson ended. "It's really hard for her".
"I feel so bad for her" Blaine said looking at the ground. "I didn't even mind the bad comments about my bowtie which, in fact, are not true, because it's beautiful".
