"But, come on, girl. Quitting glee club? Don't you think it's a bit too much?" I asked Mercedes as I did some of my stretchings for cheerios practice. She looked at me from the comfort of a chair and just shruged her shoulders.

"I knew you woudn't agree with it but I know it's the best. Miss Corcoran lets me shine like the star I am and it's the best for me" she said pretty convinced.

"I know, I know it's just... I miss you, you know? We joined glee club together and now... It's weird not seeing you in the choir room everyday. I miss my best friend".

"I know, I miss you too. That's why I was thinking..."

"Sounds dangerous" I chuckled, trying to stretch as much as I could.

"Would you... Want to join the new club?" she asked. I looked at her confused.

"You're telling me I should leave the New Directions?"

"No, no, I'm not telling you anything. It's just that, aren't you tired of just sway in the back while Rachel gets all the solos and the spotlight time? We have the chance to build a new glee club in the way we want".

"Cedes..."

She was about to say something when Coach Sue blew her whistle and began to call me, threatening me to move me to the bottom of the pyramid if I didn't rush to start the practice, followed by different names such as dubious nationality or wannabe-hudson. "I have to go hun, see you later?"

"Yeah, I don't want to be responsible of your death" she laughed. "Can I go to your house later so we can study for the spanish test next week? I really need help with the subjunctive. What the hell is that?"

"Come around five!" I yelled as I ran to Coach Sylvester who, inevitably, told me to stay at the bottom of the pyramid for the day. Happy, happy practice, yay.

...

"You know what, girl Chang? If you cry everytime someone gets a hangmail, it kind of starts to lose its effect" Santana said to a very emotional Tina.

"It's not a hangmail" she defended herself. "Mercedes was one of glee's original members. I feel naked in here without her".

"Yeah, well, get used to it, 'cause without her singing for us we're going to have to perform naked for the judges to vote for us at Sectionals" Puck spat.

"No" Mr Schue interrumpted. "I will not let this setback crush our spirits. I mean, we've handled worse".

"Than losing one of our best singers?" Mike asked.

"We don't have our best singer and we don't have enough members to compete" I remarked trying to make our teacher feel the guilt.

"Kind of hard not to blame you, Mr Schue" Quinn uttered as if she read my mind. "Think you were too hard on her at Booty Camp".

"I blame Artie" Tina said. "Why couldn't you have just given Maria to Mercedes?"

"Because that would have damaged my integrity as an artist!" he pouted.

"I blame both of you" I said apathetic. "And men in general".

"Sorry I am late" a smiling Rachel exclaimed as she walked into the room. "I was putting up posters for my... for my campaign"

"Did you airbrush out your jowls?" Kurt asked her as she sat next to Finn, not smiling anymore.

"No!"

"Look, let's stop it everybody!" Finn said as he stood up. "So, we lost a singer. So, they canceled the musical".

"Wait, no, no, no. You can't cancel my musical" Rachel quickly said.
