Punctual like a clock, the doorbell rang. I went down the stairs, smiling and opened the door. Sam was standing there, smiling.
"I like your blouse" he said as he looked at my outfit. I smiled and turned around to show him my clothes.
"Flowers are kind of my thing" I said as I touched my flowered, blue blouse. "Shall we go?" he nodded. I grabbed my purse. "Mom I'm going, I'll be home before midnight!" I said as I closed the door.
We started walking since I lived only fifteen minutes away from Breadstix, and we spent all the way talking and laughing about everything. When we arrived we got a table, which turned out to be nearby Brittany's. I said hello to her and returned to my conversation with Sam.
"I don't know why she's here alone, I'll ask her later" I said as I started to look at the menu. "I don't want bad vibes over Glee club, and she is too adorable to be sad".
"You seem to get along well with everyone in the club. Like if everyone was your bestfriend".
"I don't think everyone is my best friend, but sure I appreciate everyone. I'm sure people know that my best friends are Finn, Mercedes, Quinn and Kurt, but I hang out a lot with the rest of them. Tina, Mike, Artie, Santana, Brittany, Rachel... Everyone is amazing".
"Is there someone you don't like?" he asked, laughing.
"Puckerman" I said rolling my eyes. "But this year we still haven't tried to kill each other. That's what I call development. Besides, since he's in Juvvie I don't have to worry about him".
"Is he that bad?"
"Don't you remember when you roasted him on your audition?"
"You were there?" he asked surprised.
"At the door actually. I didn't know a person would want to audition for Glee, in fact I didn't think that was possible, and I stood there texting Mike what I thought" I laughed.
"And what did you tell him?" he asked curious.
"Are we playing the twenty questions game or something?" I chuckled. He was going to say something but the waitress came to take our orders. When she went away Sam looked at me again.
"I don't know, I find this as an opportunity to get to know each other better. Don't you?" he asked and I smiled.
"Okay, ask then".
"What did you text Mike on my audition?"
"I remember telling him I wanted you in because you roasted Puck," we both laughed "and then you started singing and I really thought you did well. And the song you chose? That's what I call taste".
"It's nice to know that your first thoughts about me were good" he said as if he had lift a weight off of himself.
"And you?" I asked. "What did you think the first time you saw me?"
He was going to answer but he was about to talk the waitress came with our food and, after thanking her, Sam spent three whole minutes talking about how good his meal was.
"It's like I'm tasting heaven" he said.
"See? This is the best restaurant in town..." I laughed and did a pause. ""You didn't answer my question".
"What question?" he asked, too focused in his food.
"What did you think the first time you saw me?"
"Oh, that question" he focused on his thoughts and then he started giggling. "How could someone have such an attitude being so short" he burst into laughter and I threw a piece of a breadstick at him, also laughing.
