Don't let me go.
In a mere,
stupid,
insignificant,
second—
She is gone.
Don't let me go.
The villain in the top hat stands lazily on the tree branch, a blue marble glinting in his hand. He leans on his cane casually, staring down at us, a playful flash on his mask— as if he has done something terrible, and we haven't figured it out yet. Bakugou is nowhere to be found. The realization hits us all at once.
"Give him back!" Midoriya shouts. As injured as he is, a fierce spark rests in his eye. I've never seen him so angry before. A tug of desperation hides in my gut as well, but I don't let it overpower me. Instantly, I think of ways I could potentially take down whoever the hell this—
"Oh dear, I'm afraid I can't!" The villain sings. He launches himself into the air, gleefully spinning in the night. "I've got my two targets and I'll be making my exit!"
Two...
Two?
Realization kicks me in the gut.
"Where's Ikari?" I gasp, air suddenly gone from my lungs. Of course, anyone being kidnapped is devastating but Ikari—
Ikari—
My stomach twists into itself, holding tight, and before I know it a colossal wave of ice barrels towards the man, fueled by anger and desperation. My frustration only builds when he dodges each shard, still effortlessly flying through the air. As he flies, farther and farther away from us, the man tips his hat and says once more,
"Razor will be happy to see his daughter again!" He shouts.
Then, he is gone.
My thoughts slur, turning my mind murky, clouded, but with only one objective in mind:
Find Ikari.
"Follow him! Now!"
Don't let me go.

I am floating.
I hover uneasily. For some reason, even though I'm floating, every part of my being is too heavy. Too slow. Too ineffective.
