POV—Todoroki Shoto
Savior
Don't let me go.
There is a concept, floating around in this miserable
wretch of world, of something called a savior.
They tell me that this person will always be there if I'm in trouble.
I've never really believed in it, but I guess facing a life-or-death
situation can really make a person go crazy.
Don't let me go.
Midoriya peers at the empty warehouse with the goggles again, passing it back and forth to Kirishima.
"It's Mt. Lady! And Gang Orca..."
Kirishima adds, "Best Jeanist and Tiger are there too! I see him. It looks like we're safe— they already knew about this location." The relief in his voice is unmistakeable. Midoriya lets out another breath out as well, wiping away the sweat that had gathered on his brow.
"That's so relieving..." he whispers, staring down at the heroes. "They're currently cleaning everything up. The Nomus are all being rounded up." He continues to give us updates every other minute. As they drag on and on, relief spreads through me as well. If the heroes are here, then that means Ikari could be safe as well.
I can't help but bask in the euphoria of being able to see her soon. Some part of me cannot imagine how she'd react if she saw me again after being separated for so long. It's amazing that I was able to live life before I met her. I'd like to think that once we were reunited her eyes would light up and she'd run into my arms.
I'd kiss her unconscious.
A small, drunk smile appears on my face as I continue to watch the parade of heroes slowly take down the hideout.
I can almost smell the faint green tea scented in her clothes...
The world shatters.
Where is the silence?
I had held silence firmly in my grip for the past few minutes, but now it has been ripped from my hand and tossed away. Wind screams in my ears. If it isn't for the wall blocking us from the wave, we would be blown away. Kirishima falls from my shoulder, caught off guard from the sudden change, but I lunge towards him before he lands and I pull him back, wind ripping at my clothes. Our bodies are sandwich between each other's and we stay, backs pressed against the cement wall.
