Chapter 27: Confrontation.

"Yeah I'm bleeding out.

So if it's the last thing that I do, is bring you down.

I'd bleed out for you.

So I bare my skin,

When the day has come,

I sing along to "Bleeding Out" by Imagine Dragons, and I most likely am embarrassing myself to death in front of Link and Midna.

I look over to Link and sing dramatically as I reach out to him.

"Bri, I know I'm beautiful and all," He hits his green hat back fiercly. "but please, don't swoon over me. And ecspecially don't 'Bleed out' for me either."

I stop singing the words and place my hand over my heart and gasp.

"I am offended."

"You should be used to it."

"Wait a minute..." I pause until realization sets in. "Hey!" I playfully hit his shoulder and the chainmail underneath his tunic cracks my fingers.
Ouch...

I wave my finger lightly and jump up and down slightly.

Gladly, Link doesn't notice and laughs along and runs ahead.

"Don't run off you coward!" I yell as my fist pumps in the air and I chase after him.

"Hey, old married couple! Get back here!" Midna calls after us.

Getting closer and closer to Link power-running, he stops abruptly.

"Oh great..." He mumbles.

"What?"

"Can't you hear it?" He turns to face me.

I shake my head. "No."

"There's a thunderstorm coming, it's not too far away, so we should take cover. I forgot you're not a Hylian, you probably can't hear as well."

"Guys! Wait up!" Midna yells.

She flies up to us.

"You hear it too?"

"Yup. Well, I do." Link answers her question.

I turn off my music to allow a silence that settles around us.

"There's a forest over there." Link points to a group of large trees with thick leaves in the distance that will give us at least some cover from the storm.

"Hopefully we'll make it there in time."

We all head towards the trees and it begins to lightly drizzle after a few minutes.

I tuck my Ipod farther in my pocket and cover it up more with my shirt to protect it from the rain threatening to fall. A crackle of thunder sounds in the distance and I slightly shudder.
