As expected, daytime came slowly. Even my music didn't help speed up time.

Finally, when I felt I would die of boredom, the sun begins to rise. Something that will bring a bit of interest to the wait.

The sky turns from a dark purple to a bright pink.

Almost another hour hour passed until I heard quiet rustling of blankets.

"Good Morning." A squeaky voice says.

"Morning."

A small figure flies to my side and sits down.

"Good luck getting him up. The only thing he'll get up from his slumber for is food."

I laugh quietly.

"Let's find out, shall we?"

I walk over to the sleeping machine and whisper in his ear,

"Get up sleepyhead."

His hand swats sleepily at the air and he groans before he becomes silent again.

"Link! There's a fire!!!!"

No response.

"Okay okay. Link, breakfast is ready!"

He shoots up from the bed, his hair disheveled and his eyes wide with anticipation before he realizes what we did.

"Not funny, you guys..."

Midna falls back, laughing so hard tears whell in her eyes, I join in laughing with her until I am pushed to the ground.

"You want something to really laugh about??" Link threatens as he towers over top of me, his arms pinning my own down, and his knees preventing my legs from kicking him.

"No, no! I'm good. I'll stop, I promise!" I plead.

Link moves his hands to my stomach.

"Oh, it's too late for that..." He begins to tickle me, and might I add, it tickled too much.

"Please...stop!" I say in between giggles.

"How do you feel now?" He questions as a wicked smile spreads across his face.

"I'm...sorry! I promise, I won't...tease you... ever again... Your Majesty." I continue to laugh, tears filling my eyes.

Link stops and leans back.

"Now that was something to laugh about."

After my laughing fit, I sit up and fix my clothes.

Wiping a tear away, I get up and sit next to the fire.

"Hungry?

"After that, I'm starving. I think I lost 5 pounds."

Link chuckles and looks inside his pouch.

"Hmmm...We don't have much more food left... I'll have to go hunt later."

"So I guess today is just a travel day?"

"Probably. I don't think we'll make it to Eldin's Volcano by tonight anyways."

He hands me two cans and I hand one to Midna.

"Thanks." Midna and I say in unison.

"No problem."

I eat my food and give the can to Link. Standing up, I look over at the risen sun.

Soon, everyone is done and we pack up.

"Ready?"

"Yep."

"We should be there by tomorrow afternoon."

"Ugh, that's so far..." Midna stretches her hand out towards the faint volcano in the distance.

"Complaining will just make it worse. Plus, you can get in my shadow and just lounge around."

"Oh, that reminds me!" Midna dives into Link's shadow.

"Lucky..." I murmur.

The following hours consisted of me and Link listening to music, looking at nature. And coming up with jokes with Link.

"Okay okay, I got one." I laugh giddily.

"What do you call someone that doesn't fart in public?"

"Hmm, I don't know..."

"A private tutor."

We both laugh at the joke.

"I got one." Link says.

"Mhmm?"

"2 women were sitting quietly..."He then makes a drum beat with his mouth and hits air drums.

"Haha, very funny." I say sarcastically.

"Okay, if you think you got a better one, go for it."

An evil smile creeps up my face.

"How do you keep a blonde in suspense?"

"I, don't know."

"Present a mirror to them and tell them to wait to talk until the person in the mirror says, 'Hello.'

Links eyes widen in acknowledgement. "Hey! I'm blonde you know!"

"I know." I give him a smirk as he huffs and crosses his arms.

"Is wittle Link gonna cry?"

"Oh shut up." Link smiles.

Another couple of hours passed, along with Link and I making small talk and telling more jokes. Before I knew it, the sun was setting.

Man, I can't believe my feet weren't aching a lot. I must be immune to walking now. And I used to think traveling to Florida in a car was bad. I'd trade anything right now to have a car, a bike-any vehicle really.

"Ready to set up camp?"

"Yep."

Midna launches out of Link's shadow and yawns.
"You're tired?"

"Exhausted. You people take foreverrrrr." She complains.

"Yeah yeah."

We set up our makeshift beds and light a fire.

"I think I'll go hunt tomorrow."

"Okay, one more detour, but it's fine."

"I'll take watch tonight."

"You sure?" I say.

"Yeah, you took watch all of last night. I think I owe you."

"Thanks."

"No problem."

Ignoring my grumbling stomach, I climb under the cool covers and drift into a dreamless sleep, with Midna by my side and Link poking at the fire with a stick.
