I used to think I couldn't go a day without your smile. Without telling you things and hearing your voice back. Then, that day arrived and it was so damn hard but the next was harder. And I knew with a sinking feeling it was going to get worse and I wasn't going to be okay for a very long time. Because losing someone isn't an occasion or an event. It doesn't just happen once. It happens over and over again. I lose you every time I pick up your favorite coffee mug; whenever that one song plays on the radio, or when I discover your old t-shirt at the bottom of my laundry pile. I lose you every time I think of kissing you, holding you or wanting you. I go to bed at night and lose you, when I wish I could tell you about my day. And in the morning, when I wake and reach for the empty space across the sheets, I begin to lose you all over again.
Luke's POV
"Wait! Can I get your number?" I yelled as she ran off watching the woman I knew I would marry run out of my sight.
"Trust me son, she can't hear you" Joey stated as he opened his computer tapping at the keyboard.
"Who is that girl?" I asked in amazement of how she had seemed to completely capture my attention, and to not seem to care who I was.
"That's CJ she's one of my best security guards," Joey replied with a smirk, "Boy, you're messing with the wrong side of the tracks with that one."
"What do you mean?" I questioned cocking my head at him, not quite understanding what he was getting at.
"I know you've heard the guys all night mention 'Westside', well Westside is CJ. She grew up in the ghetto, and that girl has seen more than most of my guys combined. She's a tough woman, and in all honesty wouldn't be that great for yawls image" Joey commented as he tapped at his laptop, "She's not the type that you want to surprise either; it doesn't end well for the other person."
"Yeah, our image went out the window when Calum's nude was leaked, so I could care less. I just wish I'd gotten her number before she left" I replied more to myself than to Joey, "And what do you mean it doesn't end well when someone surprises her."
"I figured you'd say that, so here" he replied as he handed me a slip of paper, "She has hand to hand training and weapons training."
I nodded at his words as I looked down at the paper. Written in black ink was CJ's number and damn was I happy to see it. I nodded to Joey as I walked out of his office towards the bus. I couldn't wait more than twenty minutes to call her and when I did I was so fucking nervous! I knew this was going to be an adventure wherever this went.
CJ's POV
Ransacked. The place was fucking ransacked! The coding I'd started to develop? Gone! The book I was working on? Gone! Our thousand dollar sound system? Gone! Our forty inch flat screen? Fucking gone! The pictures Bri had been working on? Gone! Her songs? Gone! We didn't have the money to replace all of this stuff.
