Before I get into the epilogue and mark this story as completed I just wanted to take a moment to thank those of you that have been reading this while it was essentially live and thank those of you that read it after it was completed. I'm not a major creator on here and that is okay because I enjoy what I write and enjoy seeing those that have and will read my stories. The encouragement that I have gotten on here has helped me when I was frustrated and stuck because it helped me to take a deep breathe, take a step back, and find what I want to write about again. Now on to our epilogue!

I stopped wishing that I would one day become the woman I want to be. I simply just wake up and become her.

Five Years Later In New York

"Gunner, it's time for your first day of school" CJ yelled up the stairs of their house.

"Coming, Mama! Is Papa home?" he yelled back causing CJ to chuckle because he made it sound like a herd of elephants was running around upstairs.

"I don't know, why don't you hurry up and get down here to find out" she yelled back as she got her and Luke's twin daughters into their coats and Luke got their adopted son into his and then his car seat.

"Okay!" he yelled back.

Two years after Luke and Chris had gotten the news that they couldn't have anymore kids because of the scar tissue in her uterus they had decided it was finally time to find a surrogate to carry their next child.

She was a sweet young woman that stayed with them while she was carrying the twins for them. When they went in with her to do the embryo transfer it all started to feel real for the family, especially when they went back in to see if any of the embryos had attached and were told that two had. Mykie their surrogate was nervous at first about carrying two children, but when she saw Chris' reaction she was at ease about it.

As a first time surrogate and having never been pregnant before, Mykie relied a lot on Chris for the adventures that come with pregnancy. The two women became very close since Chris was home and she took her to all of her doctors appointments and she helped Chris design the nursery for the babies.

Two years after that the couple decided that after her last deployment they would begin the process of adopting their fourth child. Gunner was absolutely in love with his three siblings as they came into the family and was excited to be a big brother to all of them. The twins were named Brenda Bahati Hemmings, and Adelais Jameelah Hemmings; and their youngest son was named Kaimalolo Jabari Hemmings.
