Katara's POV:

Once again, I was waking up to Wake Me Up by Avicii. I was going to be sticking with this song, for sure. Aang had good taste. It was similar to mine in a way; he liked early 2010's music. Upon opening my eyes, I saw that the sky was cloudy. Maybe it was going to rain, or it could just be an overcast day. Despite this, I was ready for school. Ms. Herbal had said she was going to be announcing the play and when the try-outs would be. I couldn't be more excited. I loved being in last year's showcase, even though I didn't have an important role. I still enjoyed being apart of the team and generally having fun with everyone. Also, being a Friday brought me closer to the weekend! Besides the main event of mini-golfing with the whole friend group, Aang and I would announce our relationship. Cheesy, yes, but I wanted to make it official beyond me, Aang, and my dad.

I lifted the sheets along with my comforter off of my body, greeted with my chilly bedroom's air. I could practically feel the geese-panzeebumps (Goose and chimpanzee mix --- not a real creature. Nor do I know if it's real in the avatar universe.) rising on my skin. I rushed over to my closet, clutching my arms to remain warm. Thinking about announcing our relationship, I wondered if Sokka or Suki liked each other. After I brought it up to Aang, I started to realize how much time they spent together. They'd make a good couple. After all, Suki was the one who made Sokka stop being so sexist. I grabbed a pair of jeans and a purple t-shirt and changed into them and out of my pajamas.

Thinking about yesterday, I hope that Aang was getting enough sleep. He seemed to be really out of it. He was paying attention in class, or at least he seemed to be. But outside of our lessons, Aang wasn't acting like himself. In Ms. Song's math class, he didn't send me a paper airplane. Maybe I had gotten so used to it that I just expected that he'd send one. Even outside of that, he wasn't that talkative. I walked to my nightstand, pulling out the charger, and going to the messaging app.

I typed, 'Get enough sleep?'

After sending it, I made my way to Sokka's room. Maybe I'd be able to wriggle some information about him and Suki out. That, and the fact that he needed to get up.

It seemed like I had to be the one who woke him up every day. He claims to be a master of scheduling, but it takes him forever to get ready; if he gets up. Busting the door down, I made my way over to Sokka's side. There were many ways to wake him up, but today's led to holding his nose.

He jolted up, breathing in sharply.

I turned around, saying, "Time for school, Sokka."

After a few grumbles, I heard him get off his bed. I reentered my bedroom, grabbing my backpack, and headed downstairs.

After boiling the water, I poured the oats into the pot. Turning down the heat to the stove, I was able to hear Sokka's footsteps clomping above. It seemed like he was almost ready to get downstairs. While waiting for him, I proceeded to my chair at the kitchen table to check if Aang had responded.

His response was, 'I did! I'm feeling much better now. How did you sleep?'

Below his text was a picture of a curled up, sleeping Momo on Aang's tidy bed.

I replied, 'Good. I slept well too. Ready for school?'

I didn't get a response from him right away. He was probably eating his breakfast or feeding Appa and Momo.

Sokka was downstairs cooking his bacon, paying attention to his phone. "Sokka," I called out. His pan was smoking. Couldn't he see the smoke or at least smell it? He didn't respond. "Sokka," I said, standing up, heading to the stove. He looked up then at the food. Pushing the pan off the heat, he turned the heat down. "Seriously, Sokka?" I inquired, looking down at the charcoal-covered pan.
