Katara POV:
I was awakened, again by Bring Me to Life by Evanescence. I didn't feel like getting up. Or moving, I was comfy where I was at. I hit snooze right away. My eyes remained closed to fall right back asleep. I couldn't sleep last night. It took me forever, like at least 45 changes in sleeping positions and removing and adding the covers over parts of my body. It was the kind of tired where you can't sleep. Although somehow I did manage to fall asleep because I miraculously woke up. Just as I fell asleep again, the song's chorus jumped right back into my room, the sound bouncing off my walls. Groaning wasn't enough. I threw the covers off my body, soaking in the cold air as it hit my skin. It was daunting, yet refreshing. Either way, it wasn't enough to satisfy my need to be crazy. I took a stuffed fire ferret pillow off my bed, brought it to my mouth, held it tight, and screamed. Even muffled, Sokka busted into my room only wearing boxers holding his boomerang.
"Why did you scream? What's wrong?"
I sighed and said, "Just put your dang clothes on."
"Moody much?" He grumbled.
I rolled my eyes and started my routine. I felt much better after screaming, funny how it works. I picked out a teal-colored t-shirt and some black skinny jeans. I brushed my hair, styled it into my "hair loopies" and put the rest of my hair in a high ponytail. I continued downstairs to have my breakfast. Sokka once again was cooking his bacon.
"Do you think you could go a day without eating a substantial amount of meat?" I asked.
"Afraid not, little sister."
I got closer to his plate, but he noticed and swatted my hand away.
"Go find your own food!"
"You do know if the food in the house isn't labeled, which the bacon is not. It's fair game for anyone to eat. Even when it's CLEARLY labeled, some people disregard it. Sokka." I declared.
"Whatever, just go find other food, I cooked it for myself and nobody else."
I opened the refrigerator, looking for something that looked remotely appetizing to no avail, I grabbed a pear from the fruit bowl on the counter. I cut it up into slices and ate it standing up. I looked at the time, realizing we only had five minutes to sit around before we had to go, I went back upstairs and started putting everything into my backpack.
I brushed my teeth as Sokka called from downstairs, "I'll be in the car waiting for you."
I double-checked that I had everything I needed for the day and made my way out the door.
Being the fourth day of school, I was done with it. I saw Jet and went up to him.
"Hey, Jet. How's your fourth day going so far?" I asked.
"It's going fine, but just got much better now that you're here."
I blushed. It was sweet.
"How would you like to sit with me and some of my other friends at lunch today?" He asked me.
"I would be cool with that. I should probably tell my other friends, they would want to know where I am."
He nodded and added, "Oh hey, Smellerbee! I want you to meet someone. You too, Longshot."
