What Does This Mean?

A/N: Hello! For the wonderful artwork above, I present what I think would be Katara's safe song. This AMAZING piece of art was created by @arushidrawsnstuff on Instagram. She's super talented, and I recommend you guys follow her for more of this spectacular art. The song is called Hail Rain or Sunshine by The Script. Idk why, but I think Katara would listen to this quite a bit.

A really random personal side note that no one asked for: I got a new flute this weekend!

So, here's the deal. The weekend is going to be written in two separate parts, so we can all keep our sanity from me writing another 10,000-word chapter in under a week and from making you all read it. Now, if you haven't already, please follow @arushidrawsnstuff. Also, can someone explain how some people can write so much in very little time? Like, excuse me? I applaud those writers. Actually, I applaud every writer. But an extra clap or four for them. Now here's the actual chapter:

Aang's POV:

I could barely sleep a wink, thinking about what had happened last night. I felt like I needed to tell someone, but who would I tell? I couldn't tell Gyatso, and I couldn't tell any of my friends. Especially Sokka. I was losing my mind. I know Gyatso could tell something was up, but I brushed away his concerns. What does this mean? Will we start dating? How does she actually feel? Was it all a dream, and I'm just going berzerk? Momo hopped on my bed, and I thought this could be the best chance I have of saying my feelings out loud.

"Momo, thank the Spirits you're here. I have no idea what's happening. I kissed Katara yesterday, and she's supposed to come over today and talk it out with me. What does this mean? Should I text her? Why'd I have to be so impulsive to where I thought it'd be a good idea to kiss her. What if she hates me now? Oh, I feel like such an idiot."

Momo chirped, and I plopped my head down on the bed. I sighed, and Momo crawled onto my stomach.

He chirped again, which I replied with, "Thanks, buddy."

I keep staring at the ceiling until Gyatso came up to my room and knocked on my door.

"Aang, are you doing okay, kiddo?"

"Yeah, just thinking," I replied.

"Well, come downstairs and eat some breakfast."

"Okay," I said, sitting up and getting up from my bed.

When I had gotten down, there was an omelet waiting for me at my plate.

"Thanks, Gyatso."

"Not a problem, eat up. I already fed Appa for you, so you don't have to worry about that either."

I nodded and ate my omelet.

"So I understand that Katara is coming back here today? So, are you going to tell me what happened? She seemed to be quite rushed."

I almost choked. I coughed slightly and swallowed.

"Uh, nothing happened," I lied, lightly scratching the right side of my face.

"Are you sure you're lying?"

"No," I said quickly, soon realizing I feel for his trick. I continued, "Wait-I mean. Uh..."

"That's what I thought. Now, tell me what happened," he demanded in a caring tone.

I put down my fork and said, "The reason Katara was in a rush was that Sokka was waiting outside for her."

"And he reason for your distractedness?"

"I don't know what you're talking about," I lied.

"Sure you don't," he said slyly.
