During the weekend

Aang POV:

I was excited for this weekend. As much as I love education and learning, this school is sucking the life out of me and it was only the first week. I was not expecting it to be this hard or to have this much homework. Either way, this weekend was going to be fun. I slept in which is unusual for me, but I was okay with it since I was super tired from school. Since I woke up a bit later, my meditation was shorter. Also, Katara was coming over today.

After my meditation, I texted her, 'What time should I pick you up?'

Then, I went down the stairs to get breakfast. The smell of pancakes or waffles filled the air.

"Hello, Aang, did you sleep well?" Gyatso asked.

"Yep, is it still okay for Katara to come over today?" I asked.

"Of course, is she staying over for dinner?"

"I don't know, I didn't ask."

Gyatso nodded. Before I ate, I went outside to feed Appa.

I opened the barn, "Hey buddy!"

I leaped onto his fluffy forehead.

I rubbed his head and said, "Appa, you need a bath later today."

He roared and I divided a good chunk of hay and air bent it to him.

"I'll be back later, Appa."

I exited the barn and headed back to the house. I sat down in my seat right away, there were three pancakes in a stack on my plate. I pulled out my phone, leaned it against the salt shaker, and clicked on YouTube. By the time I finished my breakfast, it was around 10. I grabbed a few peaches and handed one to Momo. I went back outside to Appa to give him this snack. Halfway to the barn, my phone vibrated.

How about two hours from now? Does that work for you?'

I smiled.

I texted back immediately, 'It does, do you want to stay for dinner?'

I put my phone back in the pocket of my pajama bottoms and opened the shed again.

"I'm back, Appa! I brought you some treats!" I exclaimed.

He roared happily as I rolled the peaches into his mouth.

"It's time for your bath after you finish."

He roared again as I went to the back of the barn to fetch his soap.

"Aang, are you in here?" I heard Gyatso say.

"Yeah, I'm getting the soap for Appa," I replied, reading the labels of all the bottles in front of me.

"You know, this could be a good time to practice your waterbending before your friend gets here." He said.

I found the correct bottle of soap and spotted Gyatso.

"I guess so," I said, turning to Appa waving the soap in my hands.
