Louis now held onto Harry's hand, smiling when he realized that it was his gain in all of this. The girl lost out just so he could have what she pushed to the side. He gained love, friendship, and most of all knowledge. There were things he found out in Harry that no other man allowed him to. He thought about the times where Harry would tell him why he felt how he did, and to not treat him that way. Respect for himself, that's what Louis thought.

As Louis was about to let go of his hand he felt Harry pull him a bit closer. His mouth agape as he thought Harry was getting his strength back, this brought tears to his eyes, the unthinkable was happening before his own eyes and he couldn't exactly know how to process it.

"Y-You're shaking, Harry noted, his eyes barely opening to the feeling of Louis's hand shaking like a leaf.  "A-Are... you... are you a-alright?" That was just like Harry to care more about someone than his own self. He was a selfless man at heart, and despite Louis telling him to put himself first, it never worked.

"Y-You look tired Lou." Harry slowly positioned himself upright, a small yawn conspicuous to the eye and Louis could only grin, he was the one who was yawning, wasn't he? "H-How many cups o-of coffee have you, h-had Lou?"

Damn, he knew his actions too well.

Louis swallowed now, before answering with a meek voice. "I've had two, H." Not that big of a deal, and I promised your mum and sister that I would take care of you."

Harry gave him a half-smile, his face was still droopy, but nothing like it was before, which Louis was definitely thankful for. The little things, nowadays, is what allowed Louis to keep a smile on his face, and laughter to echo the room.

Why did life have to be hard for the both of them? Louis often wondered that, yet he told no one. Being a boyfriend to Harry didn't mean he only saw the genuine side of him, Harry had his bad days just like anyone else. Despite every bad day he had though, Louis had seen him smile more than he had cried, and that's what made Harry his own hero.

"Y-You ... Y-you think I'll get outta h-here soon?"

Harry's voice brought Louis from his thoughts and he slowly turned to look at him.  To be honest, if thought it would probably hurt the lad's feelings. No, he didn't think Harry was ready to leave yet, of course, he was getting better. He was on the mend to recovery.

Saying that he was well enough to walk out of here and go on their merry way was not only a shallow idea but also misinformation to both Harry and himself. He couldn't just lie to Harry though and say that he was ready, the boy couldn't even walk halfway decently.

What if he fell? What if Louis wasn't there to watch him 24/7 what if his mum blamed him for not being the perfect boyfriend that he was set out to be. Ow. Harsh. He wondered if she thought that now, maybe he had some kind of reputation to uphold and he needed to maintain it.

"N-Nevermind." Harry's voice came as a surprise to Louis after he had been lost in my daydreaming world for so long I hadn't even realized that Harry had been talking to me. "I-I guess I know m-my answer now."

His speech was improving, that was for sure, but the fact he stayed in his hospital bed the majority of the day worried Louis. Blood was supposed to circulate throughout the entire body, not just the torso and not just his arms. He couldn't help but wonder, contemplate and worry. Why was he just slowly getting better? Why wasn't it all at once and they were back to being their normal happy beings?

"Louis h-hello?" Harry frowned, not liking the fact Louis kept dazing in and out of reality. "C'mon L-Louis stop d-doing that you know it's a-annoying to me."

Louis flushes a deep red not even realizing he had done it again. "Sorry, H, I can't help it sometimes."

Louis held onto Harry's hand and smiled a little,  "We should get you outta this hospital bed for sure, I wonder if they would supply us with a wheelchair?"

Harry could only frown vaguely before looking out the window. "It would be nice, yeah."
