Louis was sitting in the same area as the days prior, he felt numb, his admiration for Harry remained strong, he felt a sense of curiosity as his eyes glanced towards their linked hands. "Hazza, I know something very bad happened, and to be honest with you I don't know how I am ever going to forgive Nick." Tears, brimming and building like the levee and somehow it had yet to break.
His heart ached, yearning to hear Harry's laugh, the way he could lighten any room, and he had Louis by the tug of his own heartstrings. He knew if Harry was awake right now, then he wouldn't mind telling Nick off, but the difference between him and Harry was Harry knew how to be cordial and good-natured, even though the person who did this to them had been completely in the wrong. Harry would have given them the benefit of the doubt.
"I'm sorry H, I'm sorry I haven't been intrigued by the things you had to say. And it's probably foolish of me, to ask forgiveness right now but I'm at fault for it and I wish to make things right with you, I love you."
A simple knock signaled Louis to glance at the doorway, his face instantly grimacing when he saw Nick.
Mentally he rolled his eyes, but emotionally he was completely done, he wanted to lay next to Harry as he always had done, and he just wanted this to all be over.
"You know just because you keep showing up in our hospital rooms it doesn't mean I am going to give you what you're wanting."
Louis huffed when he noticed that Nick had somehow become closer to him, this man was already making him uncomfortable. He used to be friends with him, well a friend of a friend.
Obviously, they had drifted apart as friends, and as he remained beside Harry the entire time, he realized who was more important. Harry, the boy of his dreams since practically secondary school. Nick, well, he was more of a drinking friend. The go- to- guy when you wanted to party down and have the night of your life. He was the guy who would make people drool over nothing, and for what just to have a pleasant evening?
"Would you just leave already?" Louis snapped, moderately agitated at how Nick just stood there, gawking at Harry, like doing that made any difference. "You caused this Nick, I don't care that we were friends. I don't want to be friends with you." If Louis looked any more crushed than he was right then, maybe the deception of him seeming okay could be transparent.
Nick barely cleared his throat, he crossed his leg over the other and leaned against the countertop. "Lou, it was an accident. Unintentional, the cops even said that nothing could have been done."
Louis shook his head, he didn't care that the cops made a statement about the accident. He was still injured in the accident and Harry was basically in the moment, just fading away. Louis sniffles, finally letting his invulnerable state of mind feel what needed to be felt. The aching in his heart, the emptiness he had realized that life without Harry was going to be meaningless. He would have to move on if Harry were to take his last breath in this god-forsaken hospital.
Unsure as to when Nick even exited the room, Louis sighs deeply, his eyes glancing down to Harry's hand, which was rather pale almost as if as he was laying there dreaming. Louis wondered if he pretended the circumstances were better maybe things in his life would alter for the better.
Despite the accident, the complete shock, and Grimmy showing up just to give his apology. How could this help him shattering world. When Harry who's hand he held, who he would love for the rest of his life, was slowly fading away.
"Love, do you need anything? Johannah's voice could be heard from the door way. It look as if she had been crying, but maybe Louis was just seeing things from a heavy hearted perspective.
As much as Louis needed sleep, he could only shake his head. Maybe after everything that happened he didn't feel whole without Harry. He knew they were separate individuals, but their souls felt bonded and Louis was almost lost without him.
"Lou, you need to rest, c'mon." Lottie's voice now seemed to grab his attention, and he realized just how out of it he really was. For a second, everything was a blur, and he could see Harry.
He imagined them being younger, still living in the Princess Park complex. Of course, Louis couldn't be caught dead in there, but it was Harry and he was so in love. Before Louis even knew what was going on, he felt his heart pick up in beats. he could hear it in his ears. Thump. Thump thump. The last words that echoed in his mind was "Nicholas Grimshaw, this is all your fault."

Waking up, felt the hardest to do nowadays, well, Louis hadn't really left his room in weeks. And he knew Harry was getting worse. They would ask him any day now if he was ready, if today the doctors could pull the plug and see if Harry could breathe and live on his own. A sob escaped beneath the depth of his throat, and he couldn't stop the tears now. He had to make adult decisions despite still wanting to be the kid, he was at heart. Sometimes, he had to be a grown up and he needed to be there for Harry and tell him a proper goodbye.
He felt someone wrapped their arms round his neck and probably wipe away the never ending tears, but he felt numb to it all. He could only take in the memories, which to him felt so long ago, but really it had only been a few months. He and Harry was suppose to be going on the holiday of their dreams, and somehow it turned to be the worst nightmare ever.
