"You promised me, right Harry? Louis was at leisure about how he spoke with Harry that night. He knew a lot of things had gone wrong in just the last few months, and he didn't want to blame Harry for the alcohol in the room, but he could taste it faintly on his lips earlier.

It was probably irrelevant to mention the fact that as soon as Louis was home from work Harry made the ultimate decision to snog him, maybe he even trailed his fingertips down Louis's body which he had been missing since early this morning and Louis allowed him.

The room soon being hot and heavy and the pair couldn't keep from tripping over their own feet before finally deciding on the sofa. "Fuck, the sofa." Let's fuck on the sofa."

Meaningful love had been made, but to be fair it wasn't what Harry wished he would've given to Louis. Marriage was an occurring thought in his head however, he never found the balls to actually ask the lad, too many things were happening at once and before he knew it, Louis wasn't around for him to ask the question.

Pain sunk in his stomach and he nibbled on his lower lip to fight the tears that were coming over him. "You promised we'll get better right? No more fights like before? Contentment used to flow the room only mere days ago, Louis had left to stay with Liam and the stupidity Harry felt for not stopping him when he should've, he even could've since Louis had given him a chance to explain himself. However, his self-pride was in the way, as it always was. Harry had been drinking, alcohol evident on his lips, and when he kissed Louis he didn't know it but careless sex had ended up happening that night.

Harry finally let a tear fall down his cheek, couldn't help it anymore, as the pain washed over him. Broken was one way to put it, being guilty was seemingly more accurate. He should've welcomed Louis home from work, instead of being rather buoyant about the whole situation. Bringing Louis something to eat and having a lunch could've been more understanding on his part. He shook his head, thinking back to how he had drinking problems the last few months.

If he could have a second chance, he knew he would change his habits in almost the blink of an eye, but what' done was done. And Louis couldn't be saved, or vaguely that's what the specialist had explained to him.

Harry was in his junior year of high school and soon he would be getting ready for the freedom he hadn't had before, he planned on taking Louis to Jamaica and they would spend their vacation for a week or longer, but all of that was out the window.

Windows. which were shattered during the crash, Louis's all but lifeless body being pulled from the vehicle and fastened inside the ambulance, the way his frail body looked from the crash, well Harry knew the chances of his survival were seldom, but deep in his heart when he reached the hospital he was hoping to make amends with him. He didn't remember how long Louis was in the hospital, but in a fraction of a second, it felt like he was gone.

Harry took in a deep breath, closing his eyes despite everything he began realizing how everything was jumbled in his head and he needed to lessen the number of thoughts in his head. Otherwise, he would eventually start drinking again, and he promised Liam he would ease off. If he quit cold turkey he could have worse withdrawal symptoms. The night before Liam spoke of him speaking to Louis, but Harry didn't remember it.

Nor did he call to mind the dizziness he had and the fainting spell. Alcohol withdrawal sucks. Harry could only think to himself when Liam picked him up and carried him to the bedroom where he used to sleep with Lou.

"Get some sleep, Haz." Liam could only say in a soft tone, he had been the strongest person Harry had ever known, especially since Louis was his best friend. Harry and Louis actually hadn't met first, of course, the truth remained that they loved each other first, but Liam and Louis grew up together in the same neighborhood and went to the same school.

Liam was there for Louis when it was hard for him to be himself and Louis found it even harder to fit in. Most of the people who went to the school were popular's and they found ways to betray others.

"You're going to stay tonight?" Harry's voice reflected only the painful memories before and he couldn't help but let a whimper escape his lips. "I don't want to be alone this house is so empty without Louis here."

And how could Liam resist? He knew Harry was in a complex situation, and this would take longer to heal. As he took Harry's hand in comfort, meaningful words were being exchanged before Harry fell asleep.

To think this could've happened, with Louis now gone, and Liam staying with Harry for the comfort, maybe it was all moving too fast, especially after Harry drank the last of the Jack Daniels. Harry knew Liam was staying the night but cried when he reached over thinking that it was Louis, after that, well it was pretty hard not to have another breakdown. Liam was once again hastening to be the hero and he was hugging Harry, wrapping both arms around his back.

The wounds were obviously still stinging, with the way Harry woke up just to reach over, with the intention to wrap his arms around Louis's delicate hour-glass waist. However, the pain settled at the surface, and tears were evident in the lad's eyes and rolling down his cheeks. He needed Lou like he needed oxygen to breathe, living in this world was no doubt cruel and since Harry didn't have his sunshine anymore it was going to be easier said than done.
