"Hello Harry, my name is Adam Prendergast, I'm here as your friend to help you become the best version of yourself." He smiled as he spoke in a soft yet insightful tone.
Little did he know how warm that made Harry feel, to know someone cared about how he would end up in life, despite how he was now. Harry gave the man a half-smile that seemed to be simple enough for him to understand. Harry was happy, no well but happy.
"Okay, let's get started shall we?" Adam gently placed his hand on Harry's knee, almost as if he were giving him his full support in all of this, you can just nod your head if you feel it's the easiest."
Harry didn't move, even in the modest amount possible. Which would cause worry in the person who was caring for the lad, not Adam though. His center of attention was obviously Harry, but the downfall of his condition wasn't. He thought about how Harry might feel in all this.
He wondered if Harry was uneasy about the whole ordeal of having a therapist or was the idea of becoming a stronger person evident on his mind.
Adam shook his head, knowing that the old Harry would've been optimistic in pretty much any situation, nothing has changed the lad's point of view. Without any doubt in his mind he allowed Harry a few minutes to gather his thoughts and grinned when he took notice in Harry's delayed nod. Although he did have a bit of a time gap from when the request was given.
"Wonderful Harry, very good."

"It's hard for me to just sit around, you know?" Louis turned to his two sisters Lottie and Fizzy who were sitting with him at the small cafe close to where Harry had been effectively working on his speech and a bit of his physical condition. Louis hated just sitting around waiting like he was now, it had been almost two and a half months, and the doctor was all pretty hush about how Harry had been progressing or if he even was.
Louis wasn't the most patient person, but he bit back the annoyed tone when the therapist never gave him a straight answer. He had heaps of questions that piled inside his mind like a never-ending magazine fort. What could he do though? His hands were tied.
"Tommo you're phone is ringing."Lottie mumbled as she heard his phone playing "How to Save a Life" by The Fray, it was without a doubt Harry's favorite song, and h remembered listening to it when they had nights in together.
Answering the phone to see Harry's number for once made his eyes widen in surprise, was this faith healing his heart in just one single call? Instead of answering the question, he pressed the green button, slowly putting the receiver to his ear.
"Hello..." Louis couldn't control the quiver in his voice, what little strength he had slowly began to faulter and show weakness. Tears brimmed his eyes and a few easily rolled down his cheeks as he heard a timid voice on the other line.
"L-Louis... I-I have... been in-in therapy." Harry spoke with a smile, yet he had a bit of trouble getting all the words out. Of course, Adam was good with him and he never doubted the boy for one minute. He had the same view of him as before his cancer. Even the surgery is a disaster, knowing it wasn't even his fault. Adam could honestly voice his opinion on how Harry began to improve and knew Louis needed a turn for the books.
"H-How ... How are y-you..." Harry's voice brought Louis out of his somewhat dumb-found of a mindsight. He was honestly still processing the fact that Harry was speaking to him, after the way he looked before it was an absolute wonder how Louis hid his emotions so well.
"Want... Wanna see y-you." Harry's voice suddenly dipped into a deeper tone, like the purest ice cream cone. He could sense a difference in Louis's attitude and the sadness when Harry laid in the bed for days on end was evident. "C'mon... d-don't be sad, 'kay?"
Telling Louis not to cry? Felt like a joke, or even deja vu. Louis started to sob, crying into his own hand, holding the phone with others, and clearly making a scene at the nice cafe they were in. He excused himself, walking towards the bathroom and locking the door, occupied to anyone who may need to go anytime soon. He hoped not.
"L-Louis... St-stop crying!" Harry sounded more vocal this time around, he didn't mean to, but the fact that Louis was crying cause Harry to feel protective, he had always been like that so it wasn't anything new. "C'mon L-Louis... I'm better f-for the most... the most part a-anyway."
He wished he knew what to say, to comfort Louis and make him feel at his absolute best. Harry wasn't even out of the woods yet, despite being able to somewhat talk, he still couldn't do half the things he wanted. Not that Louis needed to know that.
"I'm sorry Harry, I just can't believe it... I can hear your voice again." Louis felt the hole that was once in his heart slowly mending back together, almost as if he had a brand new one, or maybe it was the outlook. The new perspective that Harry would soon become his regular self again, it would take time and he knew that.
"Say something else." Louis could barely talk, trying to hold back yet another sob, he finally was letting out all of his emotions at once and it was with the person he loved more than anything in the entire world. The line was silent for just a moment before Harry did a half-smile like he used to.
"I love you." There was no stutter this time, he meant every word, and he knew without a doubt that Louis loved him to, even if he didn't say it. That didn't matter. He was getting over the pride he held onto for so long and letting his walls down to an empty audience.
"Thank you... you know... for not- not giving up. For holding on and being strong as hell because... damn Harry I can't be as strong as you, and I'm weak without you."
He wished he were lying, wished he had something else better to say, but he was selfish and wanted Harry to stay just so he wouldn't be lonely. The truth was he loved Harry just not enough to let him go.
