(Chapter 62) Distractions

Taehyung had managed to claim the 12th February for his date. Jimin had been instructed to wear casual, comfy and if possible sports clothing. He had followed the instructions pulling on some of his more well kept dance gear, but he still put on his more fashionable trainers.
Taehyung entered their shared room in his own clothing, it was more casual than Jimin usually saw him. He was carefully drying his wings, having just showered. Jimin sympathised with him when he shook out his wings, having water on one's wings was never a comfortable feeling.
He gently reached out and Taehyung handed him the towel and Jimin as gently as he could brushed the towel over the wings ridding them of as much water as possible. Wings were equipt with a water proof layer, much like a rain repellent jacket, but an excess of water on them could weigh them down and make them heavier. It had to be the one thing Jimin hated the most about showering, the need to dry his wings after. Swimming was worse, most people avoided swimming unless entirely necessary.
Once Jimin had gotten as much water off Taehyung's ash wings as he could they headed to their date.
Jimin found the way he held hands with Taehyung changed each time. But he had found he quite liked when he would wrap his hand around the section between Taehyung's thumb and forefinger. Taehyung's hand could completely wrap around his this way and it made him feel safe. Taehyung clearly liked it too as he often held hands with him in this way.
"Its quite a way to the place, I can't really drive and we have no car. I can carry you if you don't mind" Taehyung declared.
"Carry me the whole way?" Jimin inquired.
"It should only take 30 minutes at maximum." Taehyung supplied.
"But that will make your wings tired-" Jimin began to protest.
"Jimin I have 3 siblings. I am the eldest, I am used to carrying them everywhere since their wings aren't developed yet" Taehyung hushed him in the middle of his protest.
Taehyung gave him a quick boxy grin before sweeping him up into his arms and Jimin was left no choice but to grip his legs around Taehyung's waist, arms around his neck and hold on.
Taehyung wrapped his arms around Jimin and then took off running his ash wings lifting them off the ground with ease. With powerful beats of his wings Taehyung carried them faster than Jimin could with his own navy wings without carrying the extra weight of another person.
