Chapter 26; 'Christmas Miracle'

Hogwarts, Great Hall, Breakfast,  a few days before break

Cal POV

I was sitting with Freddy, James, Della, Rox and Hailey, I think her name was.  Classes were cancelled because 'someone' filled the classrooms with Cornish Pixies.  Who would do such a thing?  Now I can't learn, good or bad thing?

Last week we finished celebrating Hanukkah with Della because we found out recently that she does because of her mother's family.  Why she never told us is a mystery to me, we had a great time.

I was enjoying my breakfast when the post came in.  The owls swooped to their destination and I was a bit confused when I saw my family owl, as well as Freddy and Roxy's, Troy and Gabe's, as well as Molly's, Vic's, and James and Albus'.  Then I noticed Teddy's.  That's odd we rarely get post all at once.

I saw Gabe get a letter as well as, me, Freddy and Roxy, and James.  I saw Frank Longbottom talking to his father with a worried and somewhat scared expression.  Curious, I opened the letter,

Caleum,

There has been a slight change of plans, you and your siblings are not coming home for the break.  We didn't want to but it's for you and your siblings safety.  Something is going on and it's best if you stay at the castle.  With the money disclosed for each of you, go to Hogsmeade and buy your gifts for each other.  

Did they tell McGonagall?

Yes, we cleared it with McGonagall.  Our gifts will be arriving on Boxing Day, and please look after your siblings.  Tell Aquila and Scorpius happy birthday for us.

Ok then, how to tell my siblings. I looked up to see the others confused, I looked to Gabe and he gave me a look as if saying 'what's going on?' Same with Vic.  

This is gonna be bloody terrific.

Victoire POV

I read the letter from Mum and Dad, I was really disappointed.  I really wanted to see my brother and sister this holiday.  But then realization hit when I picked up the letter with familiar handwriting on it.  Teddy.  I was gonna see Teddy this break.

I was sad to hear that you would not be returning for break this year, but we will be together soon, don't fret.  I miss you, love, I miss you so much.  I can only hope you miss me just as much.  But your safety is more important than my urge to have you in my arms again.  I am still so proud of you for balancing AP courses as well as Head-Girl responsibilities.  That's my girl.  I miss being there, everything about the castle and being there with you. I'll see you soon I promise.

I almost cried while reading the letter, I really missed him.  He had decided on pursuing a job as an auror, but does a bit of painting and photography on the side.  But what's wrong? Why are we not safe at home?

I looked over to the other older siblings and we shared a look saying 'what do we do?' 

I think Aquila and Troy caught on after seeing me and Molly sharing looks between their older siblings.  Well their in Ravenclaw after all.

"V, what's going on?" Aquila asked.

I shared a look with Cal and she subtly shook his head 'no'
