One week later...
Rose POV
I felt hands on my shoulder bring me out of my concentration.
I jumped and turned to see familiar grey eyes.
"Sorry, you scared me." I sighed.
"It's alright, but you need to eat." He gave me a "don't argue with me' look.
"I'm fine, I need to finish this book." I shake him off.
"Rosie," he sighed sadly, "don't do this to yourself. Please eat something, then you can come back and finish." He bargained.
Like every other time in the past two months, I gave in.
"Fine," I sighed in defeat and gather my things.
We walk down to the kitchen, tickling the pear.
"I am Poppy miss, Can Poppy help you in any way?" A house elf approached.
"Hey, poppy, I'm just looking for something small to eat, anything is fine really. Whatever you make best." I smiled.
"Of course miss, poppy will make you something right away miss." She scurried off and I turned back to Scorp,
"Find anything?" He inquired.
As soon as we got back to Hogwarts I started researching. Anything and everything. Something on Jaxon Smith, who he's the heir to. The prophecy, could there be a double meaning? Unbreakable vows, what they vowed and if there are any loopholes.
I started at the Malfoy's library, found some stuff but not exactly something that would get me anywhere.
"A bit on unbreakable vows, but nothing that I didn't already have an idea of." I sighed.
"It's like Jaxon Smith doesn't exist. There's no record of him in the Smith family, any Smith family for that matter." I complained.
"Dinner for miss, poppy made fettuccine Alfredo with grilled chicken and broccoli for miss." Poppy said holding out a plate for me.
"Thank you very much Poppy, sorry for the trouble," I handed her a few coins that I had in my pocket.
What Mum always taught me about S.P.E.W when I was younger. Teaching me about elvish equality.
"It was no trouble for Poppy miss, Poppy is happy to help." She gave me a smile and padded over to clean up the kitchen.
I took the plate and we headed to the great hall, hiding in the back room, where a small desk and chairs sat.
I set down the plate and began to eat, Scorp taking a seat on the desk.
"Do you think we need to take this to the ministry?" He asked.
"Our parents are already working through the ministry. If they found something I think they'd have solved it already." I dismissed.
"Yeah, but they don't have you or your knowledge to consider and compare with." He said.
"I suppose," I sat back, finishing my food. "Maybe I'll write to mother about it." I shrug.
He hopped off the desk and vanished the dishes back to the kitchen.
"I think you'd be a great help towards the effort." He placed his hands on my shoulders, giving me an assuring look.
"I guess, but they're aurors and the golden trio, they've got more experience and-"
