Chapter 9, Halloween Ball

James POV

I had my hand around Jenna's as our group walked to the party, the music and voices getting louder the closer we get to the great hall.  I knew our group would get a lot of attention, for obvious reasons.  As we rounded the corner and the paparazzi came into view, Jenna's grip got tighter on my hand.  I let go of her hand and put my arm around her shoulder, giving her a slight squeeze, and smiled down at her reassuringly.  She glanced at me and nodded.  As we walked into the hall the paparazzi kept asking questions, flashes from cameras going off around us.  When we finally got into the party, we all took a deep breath.

I mock bowed, "A dance for the lady?" I had a fake posh accent. 

Jenna giggled but nodded, placing her hand in mine. I walked us over to the dance floor. We danced and laughed for a good half hour.  I noticed Cal sneaking glances at the other girls but smiling at Lara at the same time.  Player, I scoffed internally.  I looked around quickly and saw Dom looking a little queasy, Wood supporting her.  He whispered something in her ear, she stumbled out of the hall, I quirked an eyebrow.  Should I mention Wood is a 5th year? I don't trust him as much.  I felt a small tap on my shoulder I turned to see Cal.

"You saw that too right?" I nodded.  He sent a signal, using the coins Aunt Hermione set up for us.  In a split second, Teddy, Vic, Lara, Cal, Freddy, Della, Kris, Rox, Linus, a brunette, Clair, Jenna and I were outside the hall.  We split up walking around to find them.  Teddy, Vic, Jenna and I came across a dark alcove.  We heard shuffling and grunting.

"Lumos," Vic whispers.  The alcove lights dimly, I heard Vic and Jenna gasp at the sight in front of us.  I saw red. Like the red Teddy's hair turned.  We saw Wood over Dom, who had only her jewelry and heels on.  That Bastard!

"WHAT THE BLOODY HELL?" Teddy all but screams.

Wood, who has his trousers at his thighs, looks at us in horror.  Wanker, this isn't anything yet.  Teddy and I whipped are wands out, Jenna and Vic rushed to Dom.

"levicorpus." I shot him backwards.

Teddy turns to me confused, "How do you know that?" 

I shrugged, "I spent one summer with Aunt Luna."

Teddy nodded, yet still seemed confused.  

"Boys," Vic caught out attention. "She needs to go to Pomfrey." I nodded and took off my jacket, covering Dom up with it.  Jenna used the coin to message them to go to the hospital wing.  Teddy engulfed a hysterical Vic, whispering small things to her.  He let her go and picked up Dom.  I held Vic and Jenna's hands, giving them a squeeze, before they sprinted to the hospital wing.  

I turned back to Wood, he groaned in pain, I smirked.  I levitated him to McGonagall's office.

Teddy POV

I held an unconscious Dom in James' suit coat as I ran as fast as I could to the hospital wing.  We burst through the doors, all heads snapped to ours.  

Pomfrey sighed, "What happened this time?" she didn't look at us at first, but when she did she gasped.  We explained that Wood had roofied her.  It made me sick.  As Pomfrey rushed around her. I had Vic in my lap, curled in a ball, my arms around her.  Jenna sat next to us looking between the clock, Dom, us, Pomfrey, the doors and back again.  I moved my arm to hold her hand, she looked at me and I smiled comfortingly.  She sighed and tried to smile back.

The doors burst open, catching our attention.

* Cal POV before the doors opened.

McGonagall's Office

James, Della, and I ran to McGonagall's office, James levitating an unconscious, semi-pantsless, Derrick Wood.  Oh how I wanted to rip his head off.  How could someone do that to Dom, a first year, a person. I hate people like this.  We reached the office as I was lost in thought.

"What in Merlin is going on?" she exclaims as we burst into the office and sees Wood.

"You see here," Della points to Wood who is now on the floor. "is someone who tired to roofie our friend, Dominique Weasley.  He slipped something into her drink and led her to a dark corridor.  We found him over Dom, who had nothing on, trying to rape her.  Dom was taken to Pomfry by Teddy, Vic, and Jenna.  Clair and Kait," oh that's the brunette's name, she went with Linus, "went to get her robes, Freddy, Roxy, and Linus went to send letters to her parents and family."  Della finishes with confidence, it really surprised me. She's usually shyer around teachers and staff.

McGonagall's face turned to one of fear, she looked at us for reassurance.  James and I shook our heads sadly.  Just then the flu sounded.  In seconds time, Bill, Fleur, Grandma Molly, Grandpa Arthur, Louis, Ginny, Harry, Mother, Father, Orion, Scorp, and Aquila.  They started talking in hushed tones as Aquila, Louis, Orion, and Scorp made their way over to James, Della and I.  

"Hey little bird," I said as Aquila jumped into my arms.

"I missed you," I heard her mumble tiredly. I kissed her head and glanced at Della and James.  Della smirked at me before gushing over Aquila, "Aww, Cal this is Aquila?" I nodded and set down Aquila, "Aquila, this is Della," Aquila smiled at her and said hello, "Oh you're so pretty, how are you related to him." He shot me a playfully disgusted face,  Aquila laughed a little.  It calmed me a little.  Her laugh.  I hugged Orion then Scorp, before holding Louis.  We sat on the chairs and couch as the parents conversed with McGonagall.  I sat with Louis, who started nodding off and slept on my shoulder.  Della sat next to Orion and Scorp.  James had Aquila on his lap, her drifting off on his shoulder.  He smiled down at her, twirling her hair between his fingers.  I honestly wanted to bite his head off.  She snuggled into him, and I refrained from doing so, I don't want to wake her.

"Kids we're going to the hospital wing now." We turned our attention to our parents.  Two people that looked like Wood were there, already walking out the door already, levitating him.  I got up carefully, not to wake Louis, and started for the door.  Della held Scorp and Orion's hands, and James carried Aquila.  The mums awed while Father looked like he was going to hex him right there, but his face softened when Aquila yawned and snuggled into him.

We headed for the hospital wing.  Vic jumps off Teddy's lap and runs to her mother, Mum, Ginny and Fleur embrace her.  Father, Harry, Mr. Wood, Mrs. Wood. McGonagall, and Bill go over to Pomfrey and Dom.  All talking in hushed tones.  Teddy walked over to us, Jenna following close behind.  Louis was swept away from me and brought over to Dom, Aquila woke up from the noise.  Freddy, Roxy, Clair, and Linus walked into the hall,  Lara and Kait closely after.  Mum and Fluer went to help change her into her robes.  The parents started conversing again.  

Teddy's hair kept changing colors based on his emotions.  From what I can tell is he's angry, sad, concerned, frustrated and conflicted.  I honestly don't know how I feel either.  I sat down next to Freddy and James on another cot, Roxy, Lara, Jenna, and Della following to sit with us.  Orion and Scorp sat on Teddy and Vic's laps.  Aquila climbed up to the space between Freddy and James.  Lara and Jenna looked at her confusingly, they had only been told about her, they never saw a picture of her.  Though there are a few I have in my trunk and dorm.  

"This is Aquila, my little sister." I introduce her, they nod and 'ahh' in realization.  

We talk for a little bit before McGonagall comes over to talk to us. "We would like to see all of you in the great hall." We all sighed looking at each other, before getting up and walking out the hall.  I carried Louis as Freddy carried Aquila.
