3rd Person P.O.V.
Morning
Last night, Moonlight saved Howard and Phoebe from death and Steven returned home with Rose. Steven discussed the terms for Moonlight to potentially have a different way to serve her sentence, and is going to help rehabilitate her. Moonlight and Howard slept on the couch, don't ask how they managed to do that.
Steven slept in because he's been awake for over 24 hours. He didn't wake up until 10:30 this morning, that's late for him. Only Pearl, Garnet, Amethyst, Phoebe and Moonlight know Steven's back. The others don't, and today, he's going to meet with them again.
Spinel was strangely absent from the house. She normally leaves whenever she has to or if she makes a heist for Blue's clouds. Steven presumed she's at Homeworld.
He has been gone for almost a month in the timeline he's been, but he's only been gone for two weeks in this timeline. Rose was right, time moves different in the timelines. Speaking of Rose, she went to her castle last night, only to return this morning, looking angry.
(Steven) Rose? Are you--
(Rose) NO! I am not!
(Steven) What's wrong?
(Rose) My castle! It's destroyed!
(Steven) How?
(Rose) How should I know?! I wasn't there because I was in that timeline with you!
(Howard) That bitch Dominator probably destroyed it. Look, can't you just build another one?
(Rose) No, I can't!
(Howard) Why? If you can time travel, I'm sure you can build a castle outta nothing.
(Rose) It's not the castle I'm concerned about! It's the stuff I had IN the castle!
(Howard) What was in the castle?
(Rose) GEORGE'S STUFF!
Her voice was loud enough that the birds outside retreated the roof of the house.
(Howard) Okay, I'm very sorry for saying this but who's George?
(Steven) The man who created her. He was her friend, and he killed himself because his atelophobia got the better of him.
(Howard) Shit...
Rose turned away from them and started to cry.
(Rose) (crying)
(Howard) I'm really sorry, Rose. I can't imagine how that would feel.
She sniffled and wiped her eyes with her cape.
(Steven) Is there any salvageable?
(Rose) (sniffs) No... there's nothing but debris.
(Howard) I hope the bitch is dead. You don't destroy someone's home for whatever petty reason she had.
(Steven) We don't know for sure if it was her.
(Howard) Okay, but she had a ship that can shoot lasers to damage property like the Palace last night. There's a huge fucking hole in the ceiling. I think it's safe to say she did it.
(Steven) There's nothing we can do about her now, or the castle.
(Howard) Oh, Rose, I'm sorry for being an asshole.
(Steven) I shouldn't have left.
(Rose) No... (sniffles) If it was Dominator, I wouldn't be able to stop her.
