Okay, I'm going to explain why I named the Chapter New Game +. If you don't care, then skip this note. The name New Game + is a game mode in certain games that you unlock after completing the game. What makes New Game + different than the normal game is that you start the game already knowing what the story is and you have all collectibles, upgrades, levels, etc. It's fun to replay a game with all of the stuff you've earned playing the first time. In this case, it applies with Steven.
3rd Person P.O.V.
Steven and Rose stood as a portal in front of them. They just finished telling the others, even Moonlight, about Steven leaving. Steven has the sequencer, the blaster Yellow gave him, and the watch.
Rose also explained the "rules" of how her time traveling works. No time paradoxes, you can bring stuff to the past or future but you can't bring stuff from the past or future into your timeline, time is different between original timeline and an other (meaning two months in the past can be 2 weeks now, but it's randomized so that's just an example), no one ages through the portal unless Rose ages them herself.
(Rose) Where to in the past?
(Steven) The day I met Rose Quartz.
Rose used her wand to zap he portal. They both stepped into the portal.
In the past
They both step out of the portal. Steven looked around to see he was in the same house, but everything felt different. He walks down the stairs and found Greg.
(Greg) Hey, Steven, we're gonna meet Rose in a little bit. So, uh, get ready or something.
Steven looks behind him to see Rose but Greg strangely didn't notice the flower.
(Steven) How can he not see you?
(Greg) Who are you talking to?
Rose: I'll explain in a moment.
Steven faced Greg.
(Steven) No one. I was just thinking out loud.
(Greg) Okay?
He went to watch TV.
Rose: Let's go outside.
Steven goes outside and she followed him.
Rose: Okay, I'll explain: No, you're not insane. I just used a spell to hide myself from everyone else but you. Since this journey is about you, I thought I shouldn't get in the way. So, in other words, I'm just here for moral support. And to help you in case you're in trouble, just let me know and I'll intervene.
(Steven) So, you're a ghost?
She rolled her eyes.
Rose: Close enough.
Steven walks over to the cave like entrance, he expected to see the gems there but they're not. They must be in their rooms. He also noticed the Warp Pad.
He is going to do something.
Rose: What do you think?
(Steven) I'm going to Warp somewhere to grab an item.
He walks over to it and grabs the sequencer. He Warps them both to a familiar area.
At the Forge
Steven and Rose at the entrance.
(Steven) Dammit!
Rose: What?
(Steven) Only Bismuth can open this door and she's bubbled right now. I can't look for her since I haven't met the gems yet and I don't want to become an intruder to them.
