Okay, this surprised you, didn't it? Months after the story's conclusion, I updated it, even though the series is over. Since I'm a sucker for wholesomeness, I wrote this when I thought of it.
So basically, most/all characters would meet the Steven after he was found by Phoebe. This Steven is small, meek, and quiet. How this would be possible is Rose The Flower went through a time portal and grab Steven in the past, temporally removing the present Steven until Rose returns the little Steven in the past.

3rd Person P.O.V.
(Rose) Okay, so I explained the situation to the little boy before I brought him here.
(Yellow Diamond) Well, where is he?
(Rose) Behind the chair right here. He's a little shy.
(Phoebe) Shy isn't what I would use.
(Rose) It's okay, Steven. Come on out, they want to meet you.
She float down and offered him her petal (which is her hand). She gently pulled Steven out of hiding. Many gasps were heard once he was seen in plain sight.
(Blue Diamond) He's so tiny!
(Spinel and Pink Diamond) And cute~!
Steven jumped when they approached him. Rose floated down in front of him.
(Rose) Gently, now! He's still shy.
She floated back, Pink and Spinel walked to him and Pink picked him up and held him like he was a infant.
(Pink Diamond) Stars, you're lighter than Spinel.
Steven clutched on Pink when he realized that she could drop him. Spinel looked at his arms.
(Spinel) He's so skinny... His arms are tinier than mine...
Yellow stepped closer to examine his body up close.
(Yellow Diamond) May I?
Pink gave him to her. She holds him carefully, feeling his weight and looking at his body. His body about five times smaller than Steven's body today.
She felt empty when she realize how skinny he is. His body is practically the size of his skeleton.
(Yellow Diamond) How did this become the boy that defeated me many years ago?
(Phoebe) You'd be surprised.
Yellow felt a unfamiliar feeling when she is holding Steven like this. He is so small, weak, and shaking like he is a mechanical machine. She felt guilty, like she felt a urge to protect the boy from the dangers of the cruel universe around him.
White walked closer to him. White doesn't need her power to read Steven's mind. After observing his body, she can read his thoughts.
He has no confidence, no self esteem, no direction, heck, he feels like he's breathing without permission from Phoebe. She reached out, wanting to hold him. Yellow slowly gave him to White.
