*just realized that I have never written anything Miraculous Ladybug related on here even though I think about it like eight hours a day AT LEAST*
It was one of those rare occasions where Adrien wasn't going deep into thought about who Ladybug could be under the mask. Granted, he was sleeping, but even then, he'd sometimes dream of his lady finally revealing herself to him. But it always ended the same way: with him waking up just as he was about to see her real face.
This time, though, he hadn't woken up. The face he saw couldn't have made him happier. Im fact, his inner happiness was what woke him up.
For the rest of the night, he hadn't been able to go back to sleep, as he was piecing together what his dream had told him. It all made sense, too. Her hair. Her eyes. Her voice. Every aspect of her personality. How had he not realized it before.
Marinette was Ladybug.

For the next few weeks, his sudden realization was all that he could think about. It got him through his days knowing that he'd be able to see and talk to her all day. It got him through his nights knowing that'd he'd be patrolling with her soon in just a few hours. He hadn't realized it before, well he did, he just never wanted to admit it to himself, but he truly cared about Marinette.
He never told her that he knew, though. He couldn't, not yet at least. What he did do, though, was try to drop little hints to her. Y'know, like making more jokes around her, trying to talk as he would when he's Cat Noir, and even flirting with her a little (as if he wasn't in the first place).
Unfortunately for him, his attempts went unnoticed by her.

Today he was over at Marinette's house, standing and talking with her on her balcony while transformed as Cat Noir. They were simply talking about Alya's Ladyblog since it had become much more popular over the past few weeks.
"She has a lot of pictures of you and Ladybug on there, too. You two look just like a married couple together." She laughed as she said this, knowing she was talking about herself.
"Well, maybe one day we will be one." He replied to her, looking up at the moon above.
"You really love her, don't you?" Marinette asked, looking up at him.
"Of course I do. What's there not to love?" Now, they were looking each other straight in the eyes.
"Doesn't it ever hurt knowing you two can't reveal your identities to each other?"
"For her, it'd be worth the wait to find out."
That last conversation pushed Cat over the edge. They could know each other's identities, he just had to say something. So, he did.
"Marinette, I wanna show you something."
"Okay. Sure."
"Come with me." Just as he started speaking, he picked her up bridal style and used his staff to leap into an empty alleyway.
"What did you want to show me in an alleyway?" Marinette asked, confused at his choosing of an area.
"I want to show you something. I have my reasons for showing you this, even if you're not ready to express them yet. If you're not, please just promise me two things." Cat spoke slower than usual, his nerve were catching up to him as he realized what he was about to do.
"Okay. And what are those two things?" Now, Marinette was getting curious. What was so serious that Cat changed his entire mood?
"Don't tell anyone what you're about to see and please don't see me any different after this. Either version of me."
