Panic Room

You sat there, surrounded by white walls. You didn't mind it, though. The white around you was calming. It took your mind off of the fact that you couldn't move.

Why can't you move you ask?

You're wrapped in a bodysuit that keeps you from moving your arms. According to one of your parol officers you 'weren't trustworthy of arm use' , which you thought was ridiculous. All you did was kill a few people. Not that bad.

Besides, you weren't even insane. Yes, you're in an insane asylum, but you didn't belong here. Especially not in what the other residents called the "Panic Room".

Legend has it that anyone who gets locked up in here ends up going insane, which leads to them killing themselves. You didn't buy it. Yes, this room made you feel trapped, but not enough to go insane.

You weren't always in the Panic Room. You used to be locked in cells in a prison just like the rest of your fellow "criminals". It wasn't even your fault that you're in here. One girl just said a few words, and next they you knew, she was knocked out in the floor and your knuckles were bloodied. See, not even your fault.

Even so, you've been in here for weeks, and you've yet to go insane. Maybe it's because you've kept yourself entertained. The past patients were probably to dumb to even think of anything to do to pass their time. Idiots.

You'd watch the clock it your spare time.

That doesn't sound very fun does it? To most people, that would be rather boring, but you found it extremely mesmerizing to watch.

You see, there was this little tick on the clock that the hands would never hit, no matter what. It was at the time 12:15.

The funny thing about this was that at 12:15 P.M. the hand would hit it. It was always at 12:15 A.M. that it skipped.

No ever noticed, though. Probably because everyone else was asleep. Even the officer that's supposed to keep the Panic Room guarded throughout the night. Lousy.

Tonight was no different.

It was currently 12:13, and you were waiting with anticipation for the clock to move to the 15 minute tick. It wasn't gonna be any different than the other nights- or mornings more like it. You just liked seeing it skip over, as if the world lost a minute everyday.

Suddenly, the dim lights you had in the Panic Room started flickering like crazy. It didn't alarm you. It didn't alarm anyone. No one woke up, and if the did, they payed the lights no mind.

Just after they started flickering, you heard a crash, and you couldn't hold back the smile anymore.

You looked up at the clock, and just as you had hoped-

12:15 A.M. - Right on the tick.

This song slowed is my life sorry not sorry :)
