You stood in front of the huge white castle that you would now call home. That's right. You officially live in a castle.

It wasn't some Disney fairytale that everyone wanted as a child. It was simply because you hadn't seen your mom in a long time, and you had decided to live with her for awhile.

Your mom had moved to Italy when you were about ten years old because her job. Of corse you still talked to her, but that was only though text and over the phone. It kind of got boring after eight years, so here you are. About to see her in person again. Finally.

You didn't know what your mom's job actually was. She only ever told you that she got to meet lot's of interesting new people. You were kind of hoping that this might clear up a little about her job too.

You waled up to the front doors of the large building, looking for your mom's secretary. You knew him before she moved, and you two were pretty friendly before. You haven't seen him since either, so you didn't even know if he still worked for your mom.

It took you awhile since there was a lot of people at the front gates, but you finally found you mom's secretary.

He made people make a path for you once he spotted you in the crowd.

"Y/n, it's been so long. You've gotten so big!" he exclaims seeing your much matured face compared to ten year old you.

"I missed seeing you everyday." You laughed responding to him, "Is my mom home?"

"Indeed she is. I'll let her know you're here." He said as he picked up the phone and dialed a number, which you assumed called your mother.

He hung up the phone and pressed a button that opened the front doors, but only enough that you could get in, and not the entire crowd.

As soon as you entered, you were met with a long hallway with stairs to your right. You heard voices coming from down the hall, and one voice you recognized all too well. It was your mother's.

Excited to see her, you left your bags by the door for you to get them later, and speed walked down the hallway until you found the room where the voices were coming from.

There was a door with light seeping from the crack under it, so you jiggled the lock to find it unlocked. You opened the door to be met with your mother's face, as well as the face of a very pale man with dark brown hair.

Your mother walked up to you and hugged you as you did the same to her.

"Y/n, it's great to finally see you in person again. I missed you." She said as she let go of you.

"I missed you too, mom." You responded, following in suit. "Who's that?" you asked, hoping it wasn't a stepdad that you weren't made aware of.

"Oh, this is Aro. I forgot to introduce you two." She said, slightly pushing Aro towards you.

"Nice to meet you, y/n." Aro greeted, holding his hand out to you while maintaining very awkward eye contact. "I've heard many great things about you."

You look away from his eyes, which were weirdly red, to speak to your mom. "And he's your-?" You were trying to get her to understand what you were asking.

It finally clicked to her and he explained, "Colleague. He's my main colleague."

"Oh." you said relieved. "Well, it's nice to meet you Aro."
