POV-
"Pretty, isn't it?" you say to your friend, looking over the woods and houses within it.
"Yeah" they responded completely in a daze of adoration of the sight. Not even noticing the grin on your face.
"What if we just burned it all down?" you asked, turning your head to look at them. "That'd be pretty cool huh?"
"Yeah, sure." The laugh that was released while responding was enough to tell that they thought you were joking.

Now, you stand on top of that exact same rooftop, except this time alone.
Red lit up your ash covered face as you watched it burn. All of it was in flames and all you could do was smile with tears streaming down your face. Not tears of sadness or regret, but tears of the thrill of what you've done.
You could see the people that inhabited the houses try and run for their lives. They wouldn't make it out. One, they can't outrun fire; it's almost impossible. Two, you had burned the edges of the woods as you left the site. No one would survive.
Sitting down on the edge of the rooftop, you start to speak to yourself. "Pretty, isn't it?"
No response.
"I actually did it."
Silence
"Sorry I burned you."
You laughed to yourself as you spoke the next sentence, "But as they say: no witnesses."
With that you walked off to the next city you'd call home. This one was done for anyways.Just like the rest of them were too.
