A Good Feeling (Twilight - Garrett) (Request)

You were just sitting in your living room, reading with your dogs. They were the only family you had.

See, you were a vampire and you were transformed years ago. Your biological family had died just before you were transformed. The person who transformed you just left you there after they'd done it. You have no clue who they were.

Even though you didn't any family, you had very close friends who felt like family to you. The Cullens. You had met them just after being transformed when Alice, your best friend, had a vision about you. Funny thing about that was that she thought the vision was of Edward's mate. She kept trying to push you guys together for years until he met Bella. You loved the fact that he found his own mate, but it was kind of painful seeing everyone else find love when you had almost lost all hope for it. The Cullens helped in forgetting that, though.

Speaking of the Cullens, your phone started ringing while you were reading. You knew it was one of them. They were the only numbers you even had in your phone.

It was Alice, to be exact.

"Hey Alice." you said as you picked up the phone.

"Hey Annie," she said in her usual peppy voice. "Guess what I had a vision about."

"Another member to your family?" you guessed, assuming she had found a new Cullen.

"Nope! Your mate!"

"What- excuse me?" you stammered out, not believing what she just said.

"Yep, and we went out to go find him."

"He didn't exist, did he?"

"Oh no he did." Alice replied, knowing that this would excite you. "Carlisle is right next to him now."

"WHAT!" you accidentally yell, startling your dogs. "Put Carlisle on the phone please."

You heard the shuffling of feet and a few voices until Carlisle spoke into the phone. "Hey, Annie. I'm guessing Alice told you the news, huh?"

"Yep she did."

"Do you want to talk to him?"

"If it's not too much to ask."

"Of course, here."

"Garrett, she wants to talk to you." 

Garrett, so that's his name.

A voice coming from the other side of the line cut you out of your thoughts. "Hi, so you must be Annie. I'm Garrett, it's nice to meet you." 

His voice immediately has you mesmerized. So mesmerized, you almost forgot to respond. almost.

"Hi Garrett, it's nice to meet you too. I heard the Cullen's tracked you down." You said laughing at your last sentence

"Yeah, apparently Alice just knew it was 'meant to be'" He replied, also laughing. 

"It's a shame our first meeting is over the phone." you said, being a little disappointed.

"Well, luckily for us I already had plans to come and meet you after then Cullens told me about you."

That sentenced caused a lot of happy barks to come from your dogs as you had the phone of speaker. Hopefully Garrett didn't hear them.

"Are those dogs in the background?" Crap.

"Yeah, I kind of have a lot." You had finally met your mate and you might just lose him because of dogs. You wanted to tear up just at the thought.

"Oh cool. I love dogs." Oh thank god.

"Guess we really are mates."

"Guess we are."

"Well, Alice is dragging me out around the time, so I've gotta go. Bye Annie."

"Bye Garrett. A pleasure to meet you."

"I'll see you in a few days."

"See you then." With that you hung up the phone with a huge smile on your face.

You went around the next few days happier than normal. You had no one around to notice but your dogs, and boy did they notice. They were yapping, barking, and wagging their tails around you all the time. You just had a good feeling about this guy.

In fact, you were just about to go walk your dogs when there was a knock at your door. You didn't know when Garrett would be arriving, but something gave you a great feeling that it was him.

Your feeling was right. There he stood. A tall, pale (cuz vampire, duh), red eyed, and dark haired man was at your door.

"Garrett?" you asked, wanting to make sure this really was him. 

He didn't even respond, just walked up to you and hugged you tightly.

This was different than any other hug. It just felt right.

You had a good feeling about him.
