YOU OPENED YOUR EYES

after having almost a full hour of napping. After blinking a few times to re-adjust your sight, you raised your head a little just to see Kageyama with his eyes close shut and his head on the other side.

For some reason, seeing this made your heart sink a little. He used to put his head on top of yours when you sleep on his shoulder, now he didn't. You carefully raised your head from Kageyama's shoulder and reached for your phone in your pocket. 3:48AM.

In a few minutes, the plane will land and you will all again ride a bus taking you to Shinzen High, where the 2-week long training camp will be held.

You decided to get a bottle of water from the plane pantry since your throat was kinda dry. You stood up and was supposed to walk but then you felt your left earbud being tugged from your ear. It was just then that you realized Kageyama was wearing the right earbud and you were still holding each other's hand.

You paused the song that was currently playing and slowly took the earbud from his ear. You then placed the earbuds along with your phone in your pants' pocket before carefully letting go of Kageyama's hand.

Coldness rushed through your hand as you let go of his, the warmth slowly being replaced by the cold. Good thing the seats were spacious, you were able to walk out of your seat without the need of waking Kageyama up to move. You looked around and saw that half of the team were sound asleep while the other half had their own worlds, doing whatever they want to do. Hinata, who was was still at the window, looking outside and admiring Japan underneath you.

You went straight to the pantry where you saw Akira, fixing some of the food there. The boys might have requested food and these were their dishes. She glanced at you and gave you a sweet smile which you returned.

Akira wiped her hands a hand cloth nearby, "Anything you need, Miss Y/N?" She asked in the most polite way. You politely shook your head,"Not really. Just want to get a bottle of water."

She immediately handed you one from the corner that you thankfully received but you didn't left the pantry. You were staring outside the small window that was on the plane's door, thoughts swirling in your head. You looked at Akira who was minding her own business and was back on fixing the trays.

"Akira-san... can I ask you something?" You hesitantly asked, hoping you weren't bothering her.

Akira stopped fixing the trays and put it aside, diverting her full attention to you, "Yes Miss, is there anything you want?" She asked in which you shook your head, "No, no, its just..." You hesitated to ask her one of the questions in your mind that you know she could answer.

You glanced at the ring on her finger before looking at her smiling face again, "You and the captain are married right?" You started. The lady's cheeks went red and avoided your eye contact, obviously shy to answer your question but she still did.

"Yes Miss." She said, looking away from you.

A smile formed on your lips because of how she reacted with that simple question, "Was he your first boyfriend?" You continued.

Akira, though confused, looked at you and nodded, "Yep. My first and last. We met back in our flying school, both passionate when it comes to aviation, the reason I fell in love with him." She said, smiling, probably reminiscing the old days.

Her words sparked your interest, "Can you tell me more about it?" You shyly asked in which surprised the lady but still did what you asked for.

"Well, when I was a teen like you, I didn't really know which profession I would like to pursue in the future. All I had was my love and passion to travel around the globe and discover different cultures. My parents weren't really that supportive of this passion of mine and said I should be a doctor because they wanted me to become one ever since." She said, looking at the teacups beside the both of you.
