"HEY, N/N."
You turned your gaze from the bowl you were mixing to the entrance of the kitchen, your lips sweetly curling upwards, "Good afternoon, Papa."
The old man who entered the kitchen sat down on one of the tabletop stools while facing you, "Your bodyguards aren't all around ya?"
You giggled a bit, "No, Grandpa. I told them to take a day off since I wouldn't be leaving the house." You answered, "How about you? Where did you go? To the hospital?"
"Nah, that place ain't the one for me. I hate that place to the core." He responded, causing you to tense up. You lowered your head and simply hummed.
Noticing your sudden loss of enthusiasm, he realized what just happened before scolding himself internally. He then quickly change the topic, "Anyways, I actually went to the spring prelims today."
"Is that so?"
"Mhm. I watched how your boys and your brother were holding up."
You were supposed to go as well but you had a sudden interview earlier and couldn't make it in time so your brother had to go. Although he's able to move around without a wheelchair now, he's still recovering and his arm isn't fully healed. Yet, he assured you they'll be fine and you didn't need to worry about them.
Of course, you were still worried as hell that you could hardly focus on the interview but after texting with Yachi about bits of each match, you were slightly relieved.
You and Yachi began talking again a week after the incident. She made the first move and approached you first. You thought that she will finally confront you and it made you so nervous, but when she simply asked you something about the game that she didn't understand, your worries began to lessen.
Ever since the incident, she has never once tried to open up a conversation about it, even if you two were alone. It was as if nothing happened. And even though you wouldn't tell her, you really appreciated how she was considerate.
However, that doesn't mean she has forgotten all about it, and you knew that. But for now, you can settle with her simply not confronting you.
You turned your head a bit towards him, "Yeah? And how were they?"
"Well, for starters, I could clearly see the marks that show that you trained them. And a lot of interesting things happened too." Ikkei smirked.
Your eyebrows rose in interest, "Oh? Do tell."
He then began to narrate what had happened during the two matches Karasuno played. He told you about how the team was a lot better than before because of how well they played. He highlighted a lot of things like how the team did the synchronized attack, Hinata's minus tempo and their new quick, and a lot more. He also added his very own comments about each event like how the team managed to get past the challenge of having a player who is almost two meters tall.
"They were really great, ya know? Especially that first-year duo." He proudly smirked, "They were really good. Though still a bit shaky but good enough."
"Mhm, I'm glad to hear you say so." You said as you began putting the icing on the cupcakes.
"Why? Does my opinion really matters that much?"
