Jalyn waves to Namjoon from across the street, he waves to her to come over. She runs to him, "Hey." She says worriedly. "Hey." He responds. "You still haven't seen her since you called me?" He shakes his head slowly. Jalyn rubs his arm, "It's fine, I'm sure we'll find her soon." "Namjoon!" Someone yells. "Hey Jin." He says. Jin shakes his hand and then rubs his back. "You okay?" He asks. "I'm fine, I just wanna know if Lya is okay." Namjoon says. "How long has she been gone?" Jin asks. "About three hours." He answers. "THREE HOURS?!" Jin and Jalyn tell in sync. "Why didn't you call me sooner?" Jin asks. Namjoon shakes his head. "Idk, I thought she would come home soon enough. I guess." "It's okay, she's probably fine." Jalyn says. They both look over at her quickly. "Probably?!" They ask. She shrugs her shoulders, "I don't know man, I'm not with her!" Jin sighs, "Well, did you call her?" He asks. Namjoon frowns and then looks up like he's thinking. Jin raises both of his eyebrows, "You didn't call her?!" Namjoon shakes his head. "Wait, wait no-i did!" He says. Jalyn raises one eyebrow and says, "Call her right now because that does not seem convincing." Namjoon rolls his eyes, "I did. Why don't you call her, maybe she'll answer you." Jalyn squints her eyes at him, "I don't have her number." She says shaking her phone in his face. "How are y'all friends and don't have each other's numbers?" Namjoon asks. Jalyn opens her mouth to respond, "-Wait, wait, wait," Jin interrupts. "You have his number, but not Lya's?" He asks looking back and forth at the both of us. "Yes! Can we move on now?" Jalyn says. Jin sighs and shakes his head. "Well, what do you want to do?" He asks Namjoon. "I don't know, what can we do?" He responds. "We can go look for her." Jalyn says. There is silence in the air for a long moment. "Where would we look?" Namjoon asks. "Aren't you supposed to be the smart one here? What's going on?" Jalyn asks. "We could just walk and look for her around the area." Namjoon nods. "She doesn't have a car, so maybe she didn't get that far." Jalyn says. Jin looks over at Namjoon, "She doesn't have a car?" He asks. Namjoon shakes his head 'no'. "Why? Aren't y'all wealthy?" "She doesn't have a driver's license." Namjoon answers. "Oh." Jin says and nods his head. "So, let's go." Jalyn says. She starts walking off. "Wait!" Jin says. Jalyn stops in her tracks and turns around slowly. "Yes?" She asks. "I think that Namjoon should call Lya before we leave, just in case she answers and we find out where to go. Or if we need to go anywhere at all." He says. Jalyn nods her head understanding, "Ok, hurry up and call her Namjoon." He reaches in his pocket and takes out his phone, showing no new notifications from her. He sighs and dials the number. It rings for a while but no one answers. "Voicemail." Namjoon says taking the phone away from his ears. 'What the hell could this girl be doing at three o'clock in the morning? She ain't got no friends.' "Namjoon?" "Hm?" "Does Lya have any friends-besides me- that she might hang out with at random hours of the day?" He runs his hand through his hair before answering. "I don't... think so." He says. "Very convincing." Jin says. "I don't know!" He yells. He takes a deep breath. Jalyn comes up to him and rubs his arm, "Let's just go look for her." She says. Both Him and Jin nod and start walking. 'Dang, he actually really cares about her.'
------------------------"So Namjoon," Jalyn starts. "Yeah?" He asks turning his head. "When did you and Lya's parents get married?" She asks. "Um, our parents got married about 6 years ago. But we were friends before that." Namjoon answers. "Oh." Jalyn says softly. "You guys have a pretty good sibling relationship." She says. Namjoon chuckles and looks down, "Thanks." Jalyn sighs, "I wish I had a sibling." Namjoon looks at her again. "You have us. We're your friends. And when you feel lonely, you can pretend that Lya is your sibling." He says. Jalyn bumps him on the arm lightly. "What about you?" She asks. "Nah, I'm good being the friend." Namjoon says and laughs, bumping her back. Jin clears his throat, as well as Jalyn. "So... How did you guys meet?" She asks pointing back and forth between Jin and Namjoon. "We met in ninth grade." Jin says. "And have been friends ever since." Namjoon wraps an arm around Jin's shoulders, but struggles. "Dang! Why are your shoulders so wide?" Namjoon asks taking his arm off of him. Jin smirks and shrugs his shoulders, "You been working out or something?" "Maybe." He says and Namjoon gasps dramatically, "Without me?!" Jin rolls his eyes, "Boy I haven't seen you in so long. Stop." Namjoon hangs his mouth open, "Wow." Jin laughs, harder than he should. 'Oh my gosh.' Jalyn waves her hand so both of them can see it. They look over at her. "Are we still looking for Lya or what's going on here?" 'Got me feeling like a third wheel in this friendship.' Jin stands up straight and stops laughing. They continue to walk in silence.
-------------------------"Maybe we should head back." Jin says. "Yeah, we've been looking for like an hour now and we still haven't found her." Jalyn agrees. Namjoon shakes his head, "No, we have to keep looking." He says. Jalyn comes up to him and grabs his arm gently, "Namjoon, maybe she went back to the hous-" He shakes his arm back, pushing her. "No! Get off of me!" He yells. Jalyn comes back up to him fast and gets in his face. "Push me again! I dare you!" He turns away his face, not looking at her. "Nah, look at me and yell at me! I want you to!" She yells. "Sorry." He says softly. "Mhm." She walks past him, bumping his shoulder. "Don't call me at three in the morning if you gon' catch an attitude with me." She says. Jalyn stops and sighs when she notices that they aren't following her. She turns around and waves her arm towards herself, "Let's go." Jalyn says. "Oh." Jin starts walking behind her, then turns around and pulls Namjoon with him.
---------------------They make it back to the just in time to see Lya walking into the front porch. "Lya!" Namjoon yells. He runs up to her and pulls her into a hug. Jalyn smiles to herself. 'Aw.' Jalyn and and Jin come up behind him and watch them hug. Namjoon quickly gets out of the hug and yells at her. "Where we're you?! Why didn't you answer your phone?! What were you doing out this late for so long?!" Lya stares at him and chuckles, "One question at a time please. And can I get a hug from everyone first." She says and holds out her arms to Jalyn. "Why are you here?" She whispers. "You were missing, and I got called." Jalyn says. Lya chuckles then let's go and moves on to Jin to give him a hug. She turns to Jalyn again and mouths the words, 'I'm Sorry'. Jalyn moths back 'You should be.' Lya then apologizes out loud to Namjoon. "It's fine, I'm just glad your safe." He says. "Let's go inside." Lya says. "Ok," They all say. They go inside and Lya pulls Jalyn to her room. They sit down on the bed. "So why'd you go out so late, did you meet someone?" Jalyn asks teasingly. "No." Lya denies. Jalyn pouts and leans toward her. "Come on, tell me." "Fine. I have a-" *buzz *buzz "Oh shoot, it's my mom." Jalyn says. "Oh." Lya says. Jalyn gets up from the bed and turns to Lay while heading towards the door. "Tell me later?" She asks. Lya nods her head. "Of course." She says. Jalyn leaves the room hurriedly and shuts the door. Lya sighs and lies down, falling asleep.
