The Return

Jalyn sighs, "I can't believe it's already time to go home. I feel like this trip went by too fast." She says, packing her suitcase. "I know," Jungkook says, barely a whisper. "Hm?" Jalyn asks. Jungkook stays in his daze, not looking up at her. "Huh? what?" He asks, not paying her any mind. Jalyn frowns and turns to look at him. "What did you say?" She asks. He finally looks at her and furrows his brows, confused. "What? Nothing, I was just... agreeing with you." He tells her. "Oh... okay," Jalyn says, nodding. Jungkook nods his head as well and continues packing up.

After they finish packing up, they carry their suitcases downstairs and push them towards the door. Jungkooks mom comes up to them as they turn around. She smiles sadly and looks at Jungkook with pleading eyes. "I wish you didn't have to go." She says and hugs Jungkook. He hugs her back and buries his face in her neck, trying to hold on to the warmth he's giving her. "Me too." He says. He comes out of the hug, and his mom goes to hug Jalyn. They come out of the hug and hold hands. "Thank you again." His mom says. "No problem. Thank you for allowing me to stay in your home, even though a couple of rules were broken." She says, whispering the last part. His mom chuckles and nods her head. They hear a car horn outside the door and start to head out. "I'll miss you." His mom says. "Yeah, I'll miss you too. Be safe." Jungkook responds and walks away. "You too!" His mom yells from the door, waving. Jungkook and Jalyn both wave to his mother and get inside the Uber. The car drives off as Jungkooks mom continues to wave from the door. "I'll miss her too, she was cool," Jalyn says. Jungkook scoffs at her sarcastically and rolls his eyes. "Okay," He says exaggerating. "What?" She asks. He shakes his head, "Nothing, Nothing... it's just, did she think you were cool though?" He asks. Jalyn gasps making her mouth extend wide open. "Excuse me? I am very cool." She says determined. "Right, my bad. I forgot, it just kinda slipped my mind." "Mhm," "Because it's not true." He whispers to himself. He turns back towards Jalyn to see her staring at him. "I think you're forgetting that I'm not deaf!" She yells. Jalyn then jumps up from her seat and pounces on Jungkook, who makes a pained sound as he falls backward onto the seat, trying to block himself from Jalyn's blows. Jungkook struggles to get back up as Jalyn moves on top of him in different directions. "Wow, I never realized how weak you are." Jalyn teases. Jungkook pauses for a moment and looks at her directly. "You do realize that I'm letting you win, right?" He asks like it was obvious. "Oh, for real?" Jalyn asks in a threatening tone. His eyes widen as he looks at her with fear, and she doesn't even allow him to answer the question before swinging on him again as he ducks. They go back and forth for a while. 

"Hey! Hey! We're almost at the airport, can you guys please stop now?" The driver asks. Both Jalyn and Jungkook pause their bickering and fix themselves in their seats quickly. "Sorry about that," Jalyn says. "Mhm," The driver says, looking at them through the rearview mirror. Jungkook leans over to Jalyn slowly and whispers, "I don't think he likes us very much." In her ear. "Yeah, me neither." She agrees. They drive for a little longer in silence before arriving at the airport. They get their bags and get out of the car. "Thank you," Jalyn says. The driver doesn't respond, but instead gives her a stank face as he drives off. "Well damn, he could've at least said you're welcome," Jalyn complains. "Mhm," Jungkook says nonchalantly. He grabs his bag and walks off, leaving Jayln behind. She hurries and grabs her bags while trying to keep up with Jungkook. They board the flight and grab their seats on the plane, trying to get comfy. Once they get all settled in, they try and relax. "Your mom doesn't come home until tomorrow right?" Jungkook asks. "Yes," Jalyn says smiling. "Why?" She asks. "No reason, no reason. Just making sure," he explains. "Okay, yep." She confirms. "Ok," Jungkook says and relaxes in his seat. 

They both sleep the whole flight while holding hands, Jungkook made sure to keep gum in his other hand just in case Jalyn needed it again.
