Jungkooks mom walks up the stairs on her way to his room, contemplating what she will say to him when she gets there. She stands in front of his door and takes a deep breath before knocking. She doesn't wait for him to answer, but instead opens the door on her own. "I am so-" she stops mid sentence as she notices Jungkook and Jalyn holding each other, fully clothed, and sound asleep in the bed. Jalyns hand gently rubs Jungkooks chest as Jungkook holds Jalyn tightly... They even caress each other in their sleep.
His mom pouts her lips and nods her head, closing the door gently on her way out.

Jalyn wakes up to see Jungkook still sound asleep with his arms around her. She sits up on top of him as light and slowly as she can, and moves his arms from around her, putting them on the side of his body. She lifts herself off of him and backs up off of the bed, her eyes not leaving Jungkook. 'Don't wake up... Don't wake up...' She successfully gets off of him and off of the bed without a reaction from him. She looks at him for a moment before leaving the room and heading to the bathroom. She starts walking, but then stops when she hears popping noises coming from downstairs. She turns her head in question and walks down the stair. The noise gets gradually louder as she walks towards the kitchen. She enters the room and sees Jungkooks mom at the stove, cooking what seems to be breakfast. Jalyn just looks at her confused for a moment. Jungkooks mom turns around to see her and smiles. "Hi!" She says enthusiastically. Jayln presses her lips together and gives a slight wave back. "I see you're up." "Mhm," Jalyn says nodding. "Oh! I had your stuff from the hotel brought here." "Where's Jungkook?" She asks. "He's still sleeping," Jalyn says pointing upstairs. Jungkooks mom turns the stove off and walks toward Jalyn awfully fast. Jalyn nearly backs up as she gets close to her and starts whispering. "Is he okay? How's he doing?" She asks. Jalyn relaxes and let's out a quiet sigh of relief. "Um, well, last night he was.... Processing. And, y'know -dealing with it. He decided try and go to sleep and not think too much about it last night. And he hasn't woken up yet." Jalyn tells her. Jungkooks mom looks down at the floor and nods her head. Jalyn tilts her head to get a good look at Jungkooks mom before speaking. "...But how are you doing-handling- all of this, so suddenly?" Jungkooks mom looks up at Jalyn, baffled that she asked that question. She frowns and fiddles with her hands, contemplating about what to say. "Oh... Um," She starts and then looks at the table. She pulls out a chair from the table and sits down, Jalyn does the same and faces her. "It's, a lot to take in, y'know?" Jungkooks mom can barely finish her sentence before tears start coming to her eyes. Jalyn grabs both of her hands, looks her in the eye, and nods her head gently. Jungkooks mom looks back at her and smiles as a tear drops from her right eye. She tries to blink it away, but another tear falls instead. But she continues talking to Jalyn. "I just got my son back, and I've lost another piece of my family that I'm never going to get back. And I just want what's best for my son. I wanted him to have both parents present in his life, healthy, and happy, and striving in this world... But not everything in life goes as planned. I loved him, so much. He was my light, he was my hero, he was my savior, he was a role model, he was a father, maybe not the best one in the world, but he tried, he did. And I just-" More tears fall and her breathing gets heavier. Jalyn let's go of one of her hands and rubs her shoulder gently. Jungkooks mom takes a deep breath and nods her head before speaking again. "... I just wish he didn't have to leave us so soon." Jalyn doesn't say anything besides a few "mhm"s and "of course"s while she listened to her ranting many words, or just staying silent. Either way, she was ready for whatever. After a while, they both take a deep breath, and stand up from their seats, just looking at each other. "Thank you." Jungkooks mom tells her. Jalyn feels confused, "For what?" She asks. "For being there for my son. And... For me. You're very good at that. Don't lose it." She tells her. Jalyn smiles sympathetically and nods her head. "I'll try not to." Just then they hear Jungkook walking down the stairs towards the kitchen. When he arrives, tension and awkwardness fill the air. Jalyn looks back and forth before ultimately making a decision on what to do. "I think I'm gonna go, take a shower, and get ready." She says. She walks past Jungkook out of the kitchen and all the way back to her room. Still in the kitchen, Jungkook looks at his mom and walks toward her slightly. She does the same. He looks down at his feet and plays with his fingers before speaking. "Mom I'm sor-" he starts. He stops his sentence because his mom's arms are suddenly wrapped around his body. He hugs her back, knowing he loves and misses the feeling of his mother knowing exactly what to do without having to say anything. She tightens her grip around Jungkook and says, "No. I'm sorry. I am a terrible mother, and I should never have left you, and you should have been able to spend more time with your father because he's your dad and the person you look up to, and we took that away from you, and now you'll never get it back, and I feel like the worst parent in the world, and I am so sorry... I just wish we could turn back time and do things right the very first time." She tells him crying harder than Jungkook has ever heard her cry. The tears start flowing from his eyes as well as he tries to hold his mother closer to him than ever before. "I know, me too." He agrees. "I love you." She tells him. "I love you too." He responds.
