Hickeys

"Let me just go to the bathroom and wash my face." Jungkook says. "Okay go ahead. We'll be downstairs." His mom says. Jungkook nods and walks to the bathroom, shutting the door. Hae-Won turns to Jalyn and says, "Come on." As she walks away. Jalyn holds her breath and puts her hands around her neck as she follows Hae-Won out of the room. They both go downstairs and enter the kitchen. "You can help me set the table." Hae-Won says. "Okay," Jalyn responds. Jalyn looks at the stove as she goes to grabs the plates and sees that the fires are still on under the pots. "Is it still cooking?" She asks. "Oh no, I just had to keep it warm while you and Jungkook were upstairs." Jalyn nods her head and sets the bowls down on the tables trying to not get close to his mom so she doesn't see her hickeys. Hae-Won grabs the utensils from the drawers and turns around, handing them to Jalyn. Jalyn slightly looks up as she grabs them and walks around to set the utensils next to the bowls. Hae-Won notices a purple-ish color on her neck and does a double-take at Jalyn. She looks at it for a moment before Jalyn looks back up at her. "Is that it?" She asks. "Um, yeah have a seat." Hae-Won instructs. "Okay," Jalyn says and sits down. Jungkooks mom brings the food to the table one at a time. She looks at the food and does a relieved sigh, "Alright, we're ready." She says. Hae-Won frowns and walks over to the stairs, "Jungkook hurry up! We're ready!" She yells. No response at first, but then they hear footsteps coming down the stairs. Jungkook makes it to the end of the steps and walks past his mom, sitting down at the table next to Jalyn. Hae-Won raises her arms and scoffs, "Really? We're not responding now?" She says. "Nope," Jungkook says. His mom shakes her head and sits back down at the table. "Let's pray," Hae-Won says. Jungkook rolls his eyes and then closes them. "What? You don't pray now?" She asks. He opens them back up and then begins to say something, "Yes he does pray still." Jalyn says hopping into the conversation. Jungkook looks at her and then closes his mouth, "Oh okay. Then you can pray tonight Jungkook." Hae-Won says. Jungkook shakes his head at her, "No I'm good. You can go ahead though." He says and closes his eyes. He doesn't hear anyone talking so he opens his eyes up again to see Jalyn and his mom staring at him with blank faces. "What?" He asks with his pitch going up. They just continue to stare at him, "Alright fine!" He yells. They both nod their heads and close their eyes. He does a really quick prayer and says "Amen." Hae-Won rolls her eyes but doesn't say anything about it, then she grabs the utensils and starts making her plate. After everyone starts eating Jalyn turns her head to the right to look at Jungkook. She looks at the spot on his neck where she gave him the hickey, but she doesn't see it anymore. 'What the hell? How the hell?' With her thoughts racing in her mind, Jalyns whole expression changes as she looks at Jungkooks neck. "Jalyn... Jalyn!" His mom yells. Jalyn snaps out of her trance and looks at her, "I'm sorry what'd you say?" She asks. "I was just asking how do you like the food?" "Oh it's good, thank you." "It's no problem, have you ever had it before?" Jalyn shakes her head, "No I don't think so." She says. "Oh okay, if you ever come over again I'll make sure to make it for you." Hae-Won says. Jalyn just chuckles and continues eating. "So... I assume you didn't know that he was going to cover up his hickey?" She asks. Jungkook stops moving altogether and Jalyn almost chokes on her food. "What are you talking about?" Jungkook asks. "Oh please, she has two hickeys on both sides of her neck. I'm assuming you at least have ONE." Hae-Won says. "Well, I don't." Jungkook lies. "Boy-" She leans over and wipes over Jungkooks neck with her thumb, "I can literally see the makeup." She says as she shows her thumb to him. Jungkook licks his lips and swallows, looking away from his mother. She sits back down and chuckles while glancing at both of them. "That's the only one right?" She asks and Jungkook nods his head. "I'm not surprised she has two, y'all were up there for a while. Kind of regretting letting that happen." Hae-Won says. Jalyn bites her lip nervously as she picks at her food. "Let's finish eating and then we can watch a movie or something." His mom says. Jalyn and Jungkook just nod their heads slowly and Hae-Won chuckles.
