At the end of the day Jalyn puts all of her books that she needs inside of her backpack, and the ones she doesn't inside of her locker. She closes it, then just stands there waiting for Jungkook. After a little while of waiting, someone finally walks up to her. It's not Jungkook though, turns out it's Lya. She stops directly in front of her and just stands there. Jayln raises her eyebrows and crosses her arms, "Yes?" she asks. "What happened back there?" Lya asks. "Back where? In the classroom this morning?" Lya nods her head, "Yeah." She says. Jalyn rolls her eyes and asks, "Why do you want to know? It doesn't concern you." "I know. But it concerns you and Jungkook, right?" She asks. "Okay... And?" There is a moment of silence before Lya crosses her arms and starts to speak, "Why are you with him?" She asks. "What?" Jalyn asks while being surprised and confused. She was not expecting that question. "Why are you with him?" Lya repeats. "Because I want to be. How is this any of your concern?" She asks. "He cheated on me, Jalyn. And you got with him..." "Yes, I know what I did," Jalyn says while being over this conversation. "He could easily do the same to you." Lya tells her. 'What does she mean by that? Is she trying to get involved?' "Not with me. But with anyone." She makes clear. "Okay. Got it." Jalyn says. Nodding while wanting her to go away. "I'm just tryna look out for you." Lya says. Jalyn looks her up and down, looking at her suspiciously. "I'm telling the truth." She says. Jalyn relaxes and uncrosses her arm. "Thanks, I guess. But I'm good, I trust him." Lya nods slowly and looks around into space, "I trusted him too." She says, then she gives Jalyn a quick smile and walks away. 'What the fuck was that?' Just then, Jungkook walks over to her and looks at Lya, then back at Jalyn. "What were y'all talking about?" He asks. "Uh, you." She directly tells him. "Why me?" "I don't know if you remember, but you guys used to date." She says sarcastically. Jungkook pushes his tongue on the inside of his cheek and smiles. "Uh-huh, I briefly remember that." He says. "All she was saying was that I should watch out or whatever." "Watch out for what?" "You, my guy." Jalyn tells him. He then puts his hands on her cheeks, "Oh... Well, I would never cheat on you." 'How'd you know I was talking about that?' "If that's what you meant. Is that what you meant?" He asks. "No, I meant to watch out for how bad your cooking is." Jalyn says and looks at him weirdly. "Oh," Jungkook says quietly and lets go of her face. Jalyn shakes her head and waves her arm at him, "I'm just kidding. Yes, we were talking about cheating." She tells him. "Oh okay. Then, just think back to what I said a few seconds ago." He says. "I will." She says. "Anyway, ready to go?" He asks. "Yeah." Jalyn answers. They both start walking towards the front of the school and leave the building. They walk for a little bit, then get inside his car. Jungkook starts the car and then turns to Jalyn. "Are you still mad at me?" He asks. Jalyn shakes her head and smiles showing no teeth. "No." She says. "Okay. Good." "But I do want to talk to you about something." She says. Jungkook gulps and nods his head, "Okay." "It's nothing bad. I just... I'm kinda scared of like, leaving." She tells him. Jungkook tilts his head and looks at her bewildered. "Really?" He asks. Jalyn shrugs her shoulders and nods, "Yeah kinda." She says. "Why?" he asks agitated. "I just..." She hesitates to tell him, then he grabs her hands reassuring her that he's listening. "Just tell me." He says softly. "I- this is stupid," Jalyn states while being disappointed in herself. "No, it's not." Jungkook states. Jalyn looks up and him and gulps, then she decides to shake away the nervousness and just tell him. "Fine," She says and sighs. "I don't want to leave because I'm scared." "Scared of what?" He asks patiently. "A lot of things... Flying, leaving, getting caught, this plan not working, my mom coming home early, getting lost, crashing, missing work, late work, work to come back to, Losi-" She spouts. Then Jungkook cuts her off and shakes his head, "Whoa, whoa, whoa." He says. Jalyn looks at him, sulking. "That's a lot of stuff." He says. Jalyn nods her head and realizes that she did say kind of a lot. "I know... Sorry." She says. "There's nothing to be sorry about. Why didn't you tell me earlier?" He asks comforting. "I didn't tell you because I want to go with you." She tells him. "Okay, well I understand if you don't want to go. I just want to make sure that you are okay." He says. "I wanna make sure that you're okay too though." She says sadly. "What do you mean?" Jungkook asks. "I mean, you're clingy. Will you be able to pull through for a day or two without me?"' She asks. Jungkook softly chuckles and looks down at her hands, "It'll be hard but I will try to survive." He jokingly tells her. She lets go of his hands and grasps his face, "Are you sure?" She asks. He nods dismally and grabs her hands, "I'm sure." He says. "Alright." Jalyn nods her head certainly and then gives Jungkook a little slap on the face before she leans back and puts her seatbelt on. "Was that slap really requisite?" He asks. "Mhm, it was very necessary." She says smiling. "No, it wasn't." Jungkook states. Jalyn holds up her finger defensively, "It wasn't. But it was inescapable because I was holding your face." "Certainly." Jungkook says quietly and sarcastically. They both lean back in their seats and pull on their seatbelts. Then Jungkook drives off, heading home.
