Chapter 6 - First kiss

"Friday! Just come already." I shouted as I walked down the stairs.

My dad practically dragged me off the bed, dumped me in the bathtub and let cold water full wake me up. My dad was pure evil at times and then act as if nothing has happened. It seemed like a family thing. Mom did the same and sometimes I found myself doing it also.

I grudgingly looked at my dad as I took a seat on the bar stool aside him.

"Good morning princess." He took a bite of his toast.

"Good morning daddy dearest." I mirrored his action.

"Good morning family." She poured herself a cup of coffee. "Wow someone's up early. I still don't know how you do it Mitch." She blinked her eyes in disbelief.

"It's all technique baby." He said matter of factly sipping his tea.

"It's call evil practices." I mirrored his action. Only dad could have me up and early enough to eat breakfast and still be on time for school.

"Oh? So we're playing mirror games now?" He cocked his to one side and looked at me.

"This means war daddy." I did the same.

"Don't count on it." He stood up as he slid on the black jacket mom opened out for him.

"Ohh I will, but that's none of your business." I sipped my tea Kermit style.

He kissed the top of my head and moved over to mom. Oh boy! He gave her a lingering kiss on her lips.

"Why does a man have to leave his wife and go to work." He sighed as he pulled her close.

"OK!!" I finished my tea. "That's my cue to leave." I stood up and kissed my mom. Prying him away from her and pulling him to the door.

Mom laughed as she looked at the sight of us.

"The war with Napoleon Bonaparte was fierce and gruesome. You're probably wondering how a man so little cause such a big war." Mr. Redman paused and tapped his temple. He made a brisk turn towards the board.

History class was boring as usual. My phone vibrated. I stole a quick glance. It's a text from Lucy who was sitting across the class from me. I looked nervously at Mr. Redman and he was still facing the board.

Ommmmmmggggg!!!!! He asked me out!!!

I sent a quick reply.

Ommmggg!!! Tell me about on our way to gym class.

I put my phone away as soon as Mr. Redman turned back around. Phew! That was close.

"So since we don't have much time......" As if he commanded the bell rang. Students were moving towards the hallway like ants. "Don't forget essay's are due next week Thursday!" He shouted over the loud chattering of teens.

Lucy caught me at the door. She beamed up at me her blue eyes brighter than usual which match her skinnies. We both squealed together jumping up and down. As Gina joined in.

"Why are we jumping?" Gina frowned.
