What does he want now, a witness to sign the divorce papers!? I got better things to do. I mean we got our assignments to finish up plus the science project which we haven't started. I thought as I went down the stairs. I don't know, but I felt an anger course through me as I thought about my dad, but then I thought about Tami.

I unconsciously stopped on the last step, wait, did Tamika see me cry?! Only person who've seen me cry was my mom, not even my Max.

"Michael." My dad's voice, brought me back to the now.

I shot him a glare but smiled when I saw my mom. She was beautiful as usual, well postered and self composed, even when she's angry.

"Mom." I opened my arms to her as she stood up, and I gave her a bear hug.

"Hey, honey. How've you been?" She pulled away, searched my face, and gasped.

"I'm fine. How are you?" I asked concerned.

"Not as great as you are," she smirked, "your father dragged me here."

"Yup he dragged me down here also." We both sat on the plush white love seat.

"Where's Max?"

"In my room." She nooded without further questions.

"So why am I here Michael." She crossed her legs and looked at my dad.

"Sometimes it's sad to have the same name of the devil." I muttered under my breath.

"So, Julie, I want to apologize." He moved to sit on the coffee table facing my mom.

She shitfed in her sit, and looked away.

"Julie, Michael, I'm sorry for the hurt I caused you."

"You think." We said in unison.

"You know I love you two," he chuckled.

"Yeah right." I scoffed.

"Micheal, I can't undo the past but please I want to start over." He almost looked sincere.

"Mom."

"I'm still listening." She inspected her nails.

"Julie, I understand what I've done, has destroyed our family. Please I just need this one chance."

"Is that another lie to pile on the rest of the lies, next to the cheating files."

"I promise you, Julie Prescott, no more games, no more lies, no more cheating." He held her hand in his and looked her in her eyes. "Just the four of us; Michael, Max, you and me."

I'm not going to lie, I will dislike what he did, and destroying our family, but if he's asking for another chance to build back, I'm willing to give him that.

"Michael, I'm dead serious, no more lies, no more cheating, No more hurt." Her eyes never left his.

"No more, I promise." He stood up, his still locked with hers.
