-Tamika-"Mom!" I answered my phone. "Finally! Are you okay?"
"Hunney, we're fine. We just arrived at the hotel. How are you?"
"Thank God. I'm good, got some friends over."
"Oh great! Well you've got company."
"Really mom? Where's dad tho?"
"Checking in. I just escaped to call and make sure you're safe." She giggled. "Anyways sweetie got to go. I love you, tell everyone I said hello."
"Okay mommy, kiss dad for me will you. I love you too and I will."
"Uhuh exactly what I'll do. Buh bye."
"Bye." I ended the call and leaned against the post.
I really do miss my parents. Oh well, let's have fun.
I headed back inside. Everyone was laughing and that put a smile on my face. I took my seat next to Michael.
"Did I miss something? The tradition is watch TV and eat." I grabbed a spoon.
"Ohh well, we got newbies; so we settled on chat and eat tonight." Gina said as she fed Sam a spoon of Mac.
"Ohh yeah. BTW mom said hello everyone." I shook my head.
"Oh where is she?" Lucy looked at me.
"The usual. Spoil the girl thing." I shrugged.
Gina and Lucy laughed. The boys looked confused.
"Mini honeymoon like, but for no absolute reason. Guess bonding time." And they nodded and laughed.
"So Paul tell us about your parents." Lucy smiled so sweetly he flushed pink. And she didn't even notice.
"Well, my mother is a florist and my dad's herpetologist." He said matter of factly. "But I do hate snakes."
"How can the son of a hypertolagist, not like snakes?" Gina snorted.
"I have no idea; though their very interesting creatures." He took a mouthful of food.
"So what about the rest of your family; any brothers or sisters." I pryed for answers.
"Well," he visibly tensed as he finished chewing, "I actually have a sister who's away studying to be a chemist and........ I had a baby brother who died at birth." Lucy placed a hand on his back.
"I never knew that." She whispered to him.
"Sorry, not much of my favorite topic." He sighed.
"I'm sorry to hear that." Gina leaned into Sam's side.
There was a silence for awhile.
"So how about you Michael?" Lucy cleared her throat.
"My mom's a real estate agent and my dad's a doctor." He shrugged.
"What kind of doctor?" I leaned on my elbow.
"Gynecologist." He scratched his head.
"No comments." Gina pursed her lips together.
"I got a little brother." He smiled.
"Who would have thought." I glared at Gina's sarcasm.
"Ohhh well so that you all know I'm an only child as of Tami, however my parents are thinking of adopting some girl." She rolled her eyes, "something about I need someone my age group blah blah blah."
"Ha! The evil." Gina said. "Hope she doesn't turn out as the pysco little girl."
"Really?" Samson squeezed her.
"Yes. You know that movie orphan, where they adopted a kid and she's not really a kid; it's awesome." Gina grinned.
"Oh please. I might drive her nuts and then kill her." Lucy scoffed.
"Well me! I got a full house people. Three brothers and one sister, who's not my favorite, but we're related." Gina blurted out. We all laughed. "Both mother and father are business partners."
"My mom's a dentist, dad's a vet. Plus I'm just blessed with a big baby sister who I love and drives me insane." Samson kissed the top of Gina's head.
"The pest." Gina grumbled under her breath.
"And we love her."
"At times."
"Lol don't start you two!" I said quickly before this escalated. "Well my mother's a psychologist of all type and a physical trainer. Dad runs a company which specializes with tech and sport stuff. I'm an only child."
"Awesome. You should be happy then." Paul beemed and I gave him a weak smile.
"Aren't you happy Tamika?" Michael asked softly.
"Pfft, come on, of course I am! I got you guys." I opened up my arms. "Now let finish this oh so good tasting food." Everyone dug in.
