Dinner was delicious and the feeling was so warm and uplifting with our families around, it's mingling and dancing time, so everyone is mingling or dancing.

"Hey, Michael." Samson walked up beside me as we both leaned on the bar.

"What's up Samson?" I grabbed a class of red wine from the passing tray.

"Nothing much just looking at how Gina is happy and totally welcomed by my family." He took a sip of his wine with his eyes locked in her direction.

"I can say the same for Tami," we looked as the two girls were talking and laughing with a few others. "Man you really love her."

"You have no idea. This girl is my life line. I already started planning our future."

"Huh?" I got lost on the last part and my eyes grew wide.

"Yeah," he took a long sip, before turning to face me. "I'm gonna tell you something, and you can't even tell Tami, if anyone finds out I'll smash your face." He said coolly.

"You got my word." I put my handsome up in defense.

"I'm going to propose to her soon. Maybe after graduation."

"Way to go man." I gave him a pat on the shoulder.

"Thanks." He smirked. "So what about you and Tami?"

"What about us?" I exchanged the empty glass with another full glass of red wine.

"Dude, because we've never spoken before doesn't mean I don't know about your whoring reputation."

I took a sip of Red wine.

"Only time you've ever dated was in some lower grade. Since then you've been the school's male whore."

"How'd you know?"

"I have people, I know a lot. I just keep my mouth shut. You're not my business, but if Tami's hurt by you then we'll have some beef business."

"Seems like you've been waiting for a chance."

"Maybe, maybe not. You just haven't crossed my path, but now you're in my territory." We both drank to that, and I felt his stare bore wholes in the side of my face.

"Hey boys." Tami's dad walked towards us and laid a hand on each of our shoulders. "How's the night going."

"Quite pleasant sir. Thanks for inviting my family and me here." I gave him a warm smile before I spotted James across the room.

"You're welcome, Michael."

"Sir, Samson if you two would excuse me." They nodded and I made my way over to James.

He was speaking to a few people, as he spotted me, excused himself and turned his attention to me.

"Michael." He smirked.

"James." I returned the smirk.

"How may I help you?"

"Nothing much. Where are you and Tami going exactly?"

"What?" He laughed. "Why so curious Michael?"

"I just want to know."

"You're quite funny. Our trip is strictly private and business. You need not worry I don't do girls who's in a relationship."

"I know you like her."

"And?" He chuckled. "Get this straight, Tami seems like an amazing girl, but I don't know her so well. What I know is if you let her go, you're a real dumb motherfucker."
