The School

I walked the long red carpeted rug along the school's marble floor, completely speechless. The inside was even more grand then the outside! My jaw stood agape, as I twirled around in every direction to get a full glimpse of every corner. I was so busy gazing, I wasn't exactly paying attention to where I was going. Until finally my face bumped into something- someone, rather...

"Hey, what the heck was that for!? The majority of you people here are such nitwits!" A stranger's gruff, deep voice hissed at me coldly. I looked up to see a tall, strong, brown haired man peering down at me, his hazel eyes stabbing deep into my soul from his radiating anger.

"The majority of you people here are such nitwits!" He added, before using his super muscular shoulder to shove me aside roughly.

"I didn't mean-" I began to defend myself before he rudely interrupted me.

"Yeah, sure, whatever. Now get out of my sight you worthless idiot." I felt as my fingers curled into fists, as anger began to vaster and boil inside of me. Such behavior as this, I would certainly not tolerate!

"I'm sorry, I guess I was just too busy admiring something that actually looks good. Probably why I didn't notice you approaching." I smiled in satisfaction, as I crossed my arms at him.

"Well excuse me Ma'am, but I have a class coming up that's way more important than talking to someone that doesn't even know where they are going." He bowed to me sarcastically, before walking away.

"If only you knew who you were talking to, sir." I chuckled to myself before heading my own way, headed towards the front desk. What a way to ruin this whole experience... I sighed disappointedly.

"Princess Zelda, is that you your highness?" The tall blonde headed lady that sat at the desk called out to me.

"Why yes, I am." I answered, rubbing the back of my neck as I walked up to her.

"Oh my! It's so nice to finally meet you. We've been expecting you. I hope you will come to liking our school district. Would you like me to show you to your dorm room, or a tour first perhaps?" She asked rather quickly, as she plopped herself down, bowing in front of me.

"Oh my! There's no need to bow. You can stand up." I said grabbing her arm to lift her up, as my ears burned red with embarrassment. I'm not used to this behavior towards me... It's been so long, I've nearly forgotten what it's like. I kind of wish it'd stay absent... I'd rather be treated as an equal. I thought to myself, as the lady stood back to her feet.

"My apologies... Let's just get you to your dorm so you can get yourself settled in." She said nervously, removing a stray hair from her face turning awkwardly from my gaze.

"Thank you. Oh, and, please just call me Zella. I'd rather just be called that. I want to be able to blend in with the rest of the crowd, not stand out." I hesitated, as she began to lead me down another hall.

"Oh, absolutely! I can definitely do that for you Princess- I mean, Zella." She corrected herself, her words practically spewing from her mouth.

"Also, you may call me Pro. Jasmine." She added, as we turned a corner heading down another long hall.

"Jasmine. Such a beautiful name!" I acknowledged, giving her the calmest smile I could to try and ease her nerves.

After showing me around the school, taking me to the most necessary places, and telling me the history of the place, we finally made it to the dorms. My legs were beginning to ache from the bumpy three day carriage ride, and all the walking we had done just now. Sleep began to plague me, as my eyelids began to flutter with exhaustion.

"Each dorm room will hold two pupils, if that's alright with you Zella... They are rather spacious might I add."

"I don't mind. As long as I have a bed to myself." I teased with a little giggle. She gave a quick, forced sounding laugh which made my insides cringe a little. You could clearly tell she was trying super hard to get me to like her.

"Ah, finally! This will be your room for your stay here. Dorm number twenty-six, and the school's schedule of course." She exclaimed, handing me a piece of paper, and a golden key with the number two and six engraved onto it.

"All of your luggage has already been set in there, so I'll leave you be so you can get yourself comfortable. It was an honor meeting you Zella." She said, giving me a curtsey goodbye.

"Thank you so much. And you as well." I responded politely, giving her a formal bow in return. She gave me a huge smile before walking away. But, her head remained turned to me, as if she would never look away. I tried not to appear creeped out, so I quickly used my key to unlock the door to my new home.

As the door creaked open, I immediately looked around the room. It wasn't as exquisite to the other rooms of the school, but the decorations were still suitable, and all put together very nicely. A long wooden desk, with a small window above it, sat at the left side of the room next to two wide dressers where my luggage had been laid in front of. A picture of the owner of the school was hung on the wall straight in front of me. To the right corner of the room lay average sized bunkbeds, with a nice little side table with a fancy candle lit lamp on top of it. Someone's pair of shoes sat next to the bunkbed, so it was clear I'd be sharing this room with someone for sure. I walked in, soon stepping on a super intricate embroidered rug of blue, reds, and golds. I admired the excellent handy work, remembering how long the Champion's cloaks I had made took me to finish. I looked up from the ground to the ceiling, where a mini candle lit chandelier hung gold, giving the room it's light. I smiled at the little place. It was breathable, and cozy. I believed It would be easier to call this place home then I had originally thought.

I went and sat myself on my bed, and began to take the shoes off of my soar feet to massage them. As I did, I heard a key jingling in the doorknob. I quickly looked up to make sure I'd get a properly glimpse of who I assumed would be my new roommate. I pursed my lips anxiously, as the door flew upon. I let out a gasp, not believing who I saw in front of me. It was the muscular man with the red bandanna that had bumped into me earlier!

"You again! Goddesses no!" I exclaimed allowed, not caring if he heard.

"No, no... I am not sharing my dorm with a new freak of a pupil! I refuse." He said, beginning to shake his head violently.

"Do you think I am happy about this? I'd also rather not share a dorm with an stubborn headed imbecile like you!" I shouted back, crossing my arms with a huff.

"This is the worst day of my life..." He moaned, beginning to rub his face in frustration. This is truly going to be a nightmare... I thought before an intense silence swallowed the once pleasant room.
