i enter my room, boruto's words echoing throughout my mind.
the girl i'm in love with has a boyfriend. and she's most likely in love with him. we used to be best friends, and now she won't even talk to me. well, actually, until a few moments ago. i can't tell her i'm deeply in love with her, because it'll ruin her happiness and i'll be in hot water with her boyfriend. it would ruin our friendship, not only that, but our friends too.
"stupid boruto.. stupid love." i groan. i place my phone on my bedside table and lay down. as i'm all comfy, i suddenly get a beep. i place my hands over my eyes and check my phone.
a new message from mitsuki?

i change into some leggings and zip up my hoodie. i run to the park near my house, and to my surprise, suki's already there. i smile and walk up to him. "hey suki." i say, sitting down on the bench.
"hey sara, i just needed to talk to you." he says, showing a sad smile. i embrace myself, for i already knew what was going to happen. sad smiles never go well. "of course." i reply.
"i'm not sure about my feelings for you anymore," suki says, placing his hand over mine. "and, i think we're better as friends."
"i agree too, suki." i reply, tucking a strand of hair behind my ear. he hugs me and i hug him back. "text me later?" he asks. i nod and wave. i then jog back home. on my way home, i text the 7.
