Finn's POV

'Ahhhhhhhhhh!'

Piper?

I bolt upright in my bed, turn on the lamp and run out of the room as fast as my legs will take me.

In seconds, I'm as Piper's door. I fling it open.

I gasp.

'Piper?', I shriek.

She's hunched over on her bed, hugging her arms to her chest. Shaking like crazy, sweating, hyperventilating.

I rush to the bed and sit in front of her.

'Piper, are you ok?', I ask, even though the answer is obviously no.

No answer.

'Piper, what's going on?', I question desperately.

I grab her phone. 'Want me to call the ambulance?'

'No!', she shrieks. 'Please, no-' she chokes.

I drop the phone on the bed and reach out my arm, placing my right hand on her left shoulder.

'Pipes?', I whisper. 'Heyyyyy, Pipes, it's going to be ok', I attempt to reassure, but my voice cracks at least 5 times so I know I don't sound confident.

She continues to tremble and puff.

I put my left hand on her other shoulder and squeeze them.

'Piper, please! Please be ok...'

A tear rolls down my cheek.

I've never been so scared in my life.

I don't know what I'd do if she...

Piper's POV

I hear 'Please be ok...'

It seems like a faint whisper from a mile away. I think it might be Finn but I'm not sure. I don't even know what's real and what's fake anymore.

The voice becomes buried, hidden and forgotten beneath countless images and thoughts that lay on top of each other.

Miss Angela's death stare.

Emily's scowl.

Josh's eyes staring into nothingness, lost.

'I like you. As... more than a friend.'

'Makes sense. I mean, you tend to question most new things-'

'I mean, look at what you're dancing with, someone who can't even do an ariel!'

'Piper!', Finn yells.

My eyes focus and look at what's in front of me.

'F-Finn?', I stutter.

Finn's POV

She said my name. That's progress. But I'm still terrified.

I rub my thumbs on her shoulders.

'Piper, it's ok. I'm right here.'

She was looking at me but now her head's moving around in all directions, distracted.

'Piper, look at me', I plead.

I raise my voice, 'look at me!'

Her head snaps towards me and this time she doesn't look away.
