WHEN FINALLY AY nakalma na niya ang sarili ay lumabas siya at bumalik sa table nila. Her heart is breaking right now but she can't break down or she'll make a bigger fool of herself.

She was trying to hold her shit together nang maupo uli sa tabi niya si Kairos. It was the biggest blow to her already depleted self confidence. When Mikee looked at Kairos, she immediately noticed a red stain on his lips. It was nearly impossible to spot right away pero nakita niya agad.

Lipstick, it was exactly the same shade that Bea wose tonight. Malamang ay naiwan ito dahil sa halikan ng dalawa kanina sa labas. She felt her chest tighten and her tears were on the verge of once again falling pero she held it in, she has to.

"May dumi ka sa labi," Mikee immediately reached out with a handkerchief to wipe the stain on his lips. Halos manginig ang kamay niya sa ginawa niyang iyon.

"Ah," nag-iwas ito ng tingin sa kanya, probably guilty about what had happened. "Nagugutom ka na ba? Gusto mo bang kumain?"

"It's nine in the evening Kai, kumain na ako." She told him. "Sinamahan ako kanina nung batchmate mo, si Jeff. Busy ka kasi, I didn't want to disturb you."

"Sorry, napadami ang pinuntahan ko." Kairos said.

He left her here to fend for herself while he kisses someone else on the side. The thought keeps on giving her pain at hindi mawala sa isip niya ang imahe na yun, the image of Kairos kissing someone else. Kanina ang tapang-tapang niya pero ngayon parang nawala yun.

"It's okay, it's just me. You don't have to worry." She mumbled.

Surely one of these days, ay matatapos na sila ni Kairos. All those good things that had happened, yun na ang pabaon sa kanya nito. It was always just a dry run, nothing permanent.

Tama nga ang tatay niya, Kairos will not stay. He will leave too. She does not deserve love. She will forever be ruined by the sin of her parents. Sino ang magmamahal sa isang bastarda? Tama nga ang tatay niya.

"I'll take you out for dinner one of these days and buy you a new dress. Sorry about Bea, sinabihan ko na siya." Mikee cannot imagine a future with this ever happening. Ang bilis naman ata bumitaw ng lakas ng loob niya kay Kairos.

Siguro dahil na din sinabi niya mula pa noong una na doon siya palagi sa kung saan masaya si Kairos. She will not ask him to stay if he isn't happy with her. For all the things that may come. She will choose Kairos' happiness above all else. Yun ang pagmamahal na meron niya, yun ang pagmamahal na gusto niyang ibigay dito.

"It's—it's just an accident."

Tapos na ang party at halos wala na ding tao sa venue. There were just a handful of people, yung mga organizers siguro ito ng party. They were probably trying to enjoy kasi kanina hands on talaga ang mga ito. Nagpaalam na din sa kanya si Jeff kanina kasi may trabaho pa daw ito kinabukasan.

Napatingin sila bigla sa may dance floor ng magkaroon ng commotion dun. It was Bea, a visibly drunk Bea for that matter. She was wobbling her way towards where she and Kairos are. Mula kasi kanina ay hindi pa umaalis si Kairos dito. He looked as if he wanted to tell her something pero hindi lumabas sa bibig nito. Maybe he was breaking up with her. He just couldn't find the most bearable words to use.

"You!" Dinuro siya ni Bea. Kasunod nito ang mga kaibigan na umaalalay sa mabuay nitong paglalakad. "Why are you still here? Di ka pa pinapaalis ni Kairos?"

"Bea, enough." Kairos was about to stand up ng maupo si Bea sa kandungan nito, wrapping her arms all over him.

Mikee heard collective gasps from the following crowd pero no one dared touch Bea or pull her from Kairos. On the other hand ay pilit na inaalis ni Kairos ang babae sa kanya. He was trying not to hurt her lalo na at halata naman na lasing talaga ito.
