Kasama ko ngayon si Aleya papunta sa hospital para sa aking prenatal check up. Ang kahapon sanang punta ko ay naudlot dahil sa nangyari saaming dalawa ni Dame. Mabuti at sinabi ni Aleya kaninang umaga paggising ko na na-reschedule daw ngayon.
Pagkatapos ng nangyari kahapon ay wala rin akong kahit isang salitang narinig sa kanya. Kaninang umaga ay hindi rin siya doon nag almusal. Simula rin ng dumating si Dame ay wala na akong naaamoy na anghit sa bahay mabuti at nabawasan ng kaunti ang aking problema.
Pagdating namin ay kita ko na sa pasilyo palang ang mga kagaya kong buntis na nakaupo sa upuan pero ang pinagkaiba lang, ay sila kasama ang ama ng anak nila habang ako, tinignan ko ang katabi ko pero matagal narin pala itong nakatitig saakin.
"Umupo nalang po tayo doon, maam." turo niya sa upuang may dalawang bakante, saktong-sakto sa aming dalawa. Kaya agad kaming pumunta doon at umupo. Habang naghihintay na tawagin ang pangalan ko ay di ko mapigilang makinig sa katabi ko.
"Paano pag babae to?" malungkot na tanong ng babae sa lalaki.
"Edi may prinsesa na tayo." masayang sagot niya naman.
"Pero diba gusto mo ng lalaki?"
"Kung maging babae man, edi gawa tayo ulit hanggang sa maging lalaki na."
Nakarinig ako ng paghampas pagkatapos pero di ko kayang tumingin dahil baka mapansin nila.
"Hindi naman importante saakin ang kasarian basta ikaw lang ang ina. Oo, sinabi ko sayo na gusto ko ng lalaki para dalawa na kaming poprotekta sayo. Pero kung babae man yan, edi dalawa na kayong poprotektahan ko."
"Maam, okay ka lang po?" pag-aalala ni Aleya.
Di ko pala namalayang tumulo ang luha ako. Ang swerte ng magiging anak nila dahil hindi paman siya nabubuhay sa mundo, mahal na mahal na siya ng mga magulang niya.
Tinawag na sila ng nurse pagkatapos kaya agad na tinulungan ng lalaki ang babae sa pagtayo. Malaki na pala ang tiyan niya at sobrang bilog na. Siguro nandito sila para alamin kung ano ang kasarian ng magiging anak nila.
Hinawakan ko na lamang ang umbok kong tiyan para pakalmahin ang sarili.
Pagkaraan ng ilang minuto naming paghihintay ay tinawag na ako ng Nurse. Nagpaiwan na lamang si Aleya sa labas dahil hindi naman daw siya kakailanganin sa loob.

"He's not available today." I said in a plain tone.
She just nodded and requested me to sit in front.
Later on, she measured my height and get my weight, blood pressure, breathing, pulse, and exams in my breast and pelvic and so on. She then ultrasound me afterward after knowing that I already experienced bleeding before.
Tears pooled my eyes as I see my child on the screen.
"Your little one is already in half an inch long. By now, your baby looks more and more like the newborn you'll bring home from the hospital soon." She looks at me and smiled.
"Look at the body." She pointed the body parts using the laser. "Take a look on the sprouted tiny arms and legs, fingers and toes, bones, and muscles. The baby's unique facial features continue to develop along with all of their inner workings and organs. Though you can't feel it yet, your little one is constantly moving." I cried happily.
"Many parents cried after seeing the position of their baby but did you know who cried the most?" tinignan ko lang siya
"The father." bigla akong natigilan bigla.

"Congratulations you're now 8 weeks pregnant. Your miscarriage risk will be lower unlike the previous weeks when you even experienced bleeding but just take care of yourself also because as long as your pregnant your body is always at risk." at doon umiyak na ako ng husto.

"I just can't believe." ngumiti ako sakanya.

Afterwards, she asked me about my medical history, my diet and my lifestyle. So I told her honestly that I don't have any appetite for food, I don't do cravings like what pregnant women usually experienced.

Aside from that, Pregnant women are prone to mental health issues also due to various physical and biochemical changes. In particular, depression or anxiety may lead to altered eating habits, including decreased appetite and a reduced intake of nutrient-dense foods but please avoid medicines during pregnancy. If possible, especially during the first four months because that's when your baby organs form. The fatigue, headaches, sore breasts, cramping, and frequent urination are all normal during your first trimester. But all of those not-so-fun symptoms mean that your body is producing the right hormones at the right time to start supporting the development of the baby."
After that she adviced me any changes that I can make to have the healthiest pregnancy as possible and take folic acid vitamins everyday. The first trimester is the most challenging part indeed. After that, she told me a lot of Dos and Don'ts and tips and then reschedule my next check-up for my next ultrasound.
"Maam, kumusta po?" si Aleya ng nakalabas ako.
I give her the picture of my ultrasound na hiningi ko kanina sa doctora. "Hala, ang liit naman. Alam n'yo na ba ang gender po?" Aleya why so innocent?
"Nope, but the baby has organs already. Look?" inosente naman siyang nanood sa sinabi ko pero feeling ko parang wala siyang nauunawaan.
"Where's the driver?" I changed topic.
"Nasa labas na po."
Aleya's right, the car is already parked in front. Umupo si Aleya sa front seat habang ako ay sa likod.
"Manong, can you stopped by to the nearest restaurant. I think we both hungry na kasi because it's already 1 pm narin."
"Sige po maam."
"Aleya? Magkano ba ang binigay ni Dame na pera sayo?"
"15 thousand po."
"K. Let'spend that all." magiliw kong sabi dahil sa sobrang saya ko.
