Alfea, the college for fairies and specialists, home to students all over the world, and one of the best magic schools in the world.
Alexandra or as many called her, Alex, stood in front of Alfea's gates thinking about turning around and running in the other direction, 'get it together' Alex thought to herself shaking her head as she walked through the school's gates. Most people would've been impressed by the ginormous building in front of Alex's eyes but she wasn't, her parents had taught Alex everything she had to know about Alfea and even though it was only her first day, Alex felt confident that she knew the school like the back of her hand.
With her headphones on, her backpack hanging loosely on her right shoulder, and her suitcase in her left hand Alex began walking, people filled the entrance patio as everyone tried to get ahold of their belongings as they headed towards the main building, the fairies hall. As she was walking Alex collided with something, or rather, someone.
Alex was sent straight to the ground "oh, shit sorry" a masculine voice spoke as a hand appeared in front of Alex, she took the hand who helped her up and looked up. Alex came face to face with a blonde, handsome-looking boy.
She brushed imaginary dirt off her jeans as she dismissed the boy "don't worry, it was my fault. I wasn't looking where I was going" the boy smiled picking Alex's backpack that had previously fallen on the floor, Alex was quick to mutter a small thanks as she smiled at the boy "are you okay?" he asked Alex who had put her headphones around her neck
"I'm fine-"
"Quit perving on the first years" a brown-haired boy spoke from behind Sky
"Riv, just give me one second. Yeah?" Sky smiled mockingly at his friend
"Why? You gonna chase her?"
Sky turned around just in time to see Alex walking away, towards the fairy hall looking for her room to get settled in.
Sky sighed in annoyance as he turned back to his brown-haired friend who was already smirking at the blonde "Nope"
But Sky's frown was quick to disappear as Riven launched forward taking the blonde boy in a hug as they both laughed, catching up on everything that had happened over summer.
In the meanwhile, Alex had found her way to her dorm where she was greeted by 2 out of 5 roommates.
"Hi, you must be the other roommate, I'm Terra" the first girl introduced herself, next to her was another girl who also had headphones around her neck, "and I'm Musa" the girl with headphones smiled
"Alexandra, but you can call me Alex"
Musa's eyes suddenly turned a purple color as she looked at Alex which took her by surprise "you look so calm, yet you're so nervous" she chuckled
It took Alex a second before realizing what was happening "oh, I get it you're an empath"
Musa was surprised that Alex got that so quickly, most people weren't able to recognize empaths by the simple fact of their subtle change of eye color, she also knew that Alex was different somehow as her emotions weren't as easy to read like other people's.
"Uh- yeah, how'd you know?" Musa questioned
"Um, mind control" Alex explained, Musa understood right away, they both were mind faires, yet Musa was still confused over why Alex's mind was so hard to access
Terra who had been watching the whole encounter was amazed by Alex's powers, from a young age Terra had admired Telepaths and the power they held "so you can read other people's thoughts?"
Alex nodded setting her bag on the free bed that was next to the door in front of Musa's bed, Alex sat down on the bed as she looked around the room fascinated, even though her parents taught her a lot about Alfea, she had never actually seen the dorms on the inside and let's just say, Alex was not mad about how they looked
"I'm guessing you can move things with your mind too?" Musa asked Alex who was now starting to unpack her suitcase and her belongings
"yeah, telepathy and telekinesis are my main powers but I can also create force fields and energy orbs"
