"Alex?" She looked up and noticed Sky was shirtless as her cheeks turned a soft shade of pink,
"What are you-"
"Sorry, this was, a um... a bad idea. I just, I couldn't go back to my dorm... sorry for disturbing your night" Alex was about to walk away when Sky grabbed her arm bringing her into a hug, Alex tightly wrapped her arms around him as she broke down, tears silently trailing down her cheeks dampening Sky's bare skin.
"You're okay, Alex. I'm here, alright? I'm right here" Sky soothed Alex softly caressing her hair, after about 10 minutes Alex started slightly shivering from the cold weather and her wet clothes, Sky seemed to notice that as he pulled away seeing Alex's drenched clothes
"Alex you're soaked" Sky pointed out as Alex wiped her tears laughing lightly "yeah, it's rain,"
Sky detached himself from Alex reaching into his closet pulling out a towel, a sweatshirt, and some sweatpants handing them over to Alex "here, you can take a shower and change into these. I'll be here when you're done"
Alex took the clothes and the towel looking at Sky "what about your roommate?"
"Riven isn't coming back he's staying with a... friend?" Sky said confused whether what to call Beatrix
"Thanks, Sky, this means a lot to me" Sky smiled at the brunette girl in front of him as she entered the bathroom
After about 10 min Alex came out of the bathroom drying her hair with a towel, Sky's clothes hanging loose on her body considering the height difference between the two, Sky was sitting on his bed with the same book he was reading before Alex knocked on his door.
He looked up and smiled, something inside him stirred as he saw Alex wearing his clothes
"Hi" Alex smiled at Sky who already had a prominent smile on his face
"Hey"
Alex sat on the edge of Sky's bed as he put his book down on his night table, "thanks again for letting me stay, I just couldn't bear listening to my roommate's pity"
"Don't worry, I get it and I'm sorry Alex, I understand how you feel... Silva is like a dad to me" Sky looked away as he sighed "yeah, I'm sorry too,"
The two teenagers stayed in silence for a bit until Alex yawned standing up from the bed, Sky gave Alex a confused look as she looked at the time
"It's getting late, we should go to sleep" Alex took a pillow from Sky's bed placing it on the floor
"What are you doing?" he asked
"I'm sleeping on the floor, it's bad enough I appeared at your door at this time of the night, I don't want to cross the line"
"Alex, it's fine seriously, plus I can't have you sleeping on the floor. My mom would kill me" Sky laughed shaking his head "come on"
"You are one of a kind Blondie" Alex sat down next to Sky, their shoulders touching
"And we're back with the nicknames, careful I might reassign you to the floor"
Alex gasped placing her hands over her chest, with a dramatic on her face, "you wouldn't dare"
