Classes finished for the day and Musa, Terra and Alex were at the cafeteria getting their food from the dearest lady Doris
"I mean, the Vessel just lit up for you the moment you touched it," Aisha told Alex and Musa
"My magic is pretty much always on" Alex answered as she grabbed her food tray off the cafeteria counter
"Makes crowded spaces a nightmare" Musa added
"I know right? That's why I hate parties"
Musa's eyes suddenly turned purple as she looked at Doris "Doris is in physical pain, that kid scared and stressed" the three girls' heads turned to a boy who was sitting at the edge of a table
"He wants to fit in, be like one of the popular and cool kids like Riven or so" Alex read the boy's mind "apparently a bit too much like Riven..." Alex tilted her head her eyes turning back to their normal shade of amber from their shade of crimson red
"Worried and tentative, but that might be heartburn. It's hard to tell a lot of them apart" Musa looked at Terra's dad
'wow' Musa thought as a guy walked down the stairs
"What just happened?" Aisha asked after seeing the interaction between the Musa and the mystery boy
"I'm not entirely sure"
The three girls sat down at Terra's and Bloom's table "so here's what we should do, maybe we can make a list of emotional triggers-"
"Aisha, um, I appreciate what you're doing but I can figure this out on my own"
"I'm sure. I just think you might be in your head about the whole changeling stuff and overthinking"
'Everyone knows?'
"Bloom..." Alex talked up
"So everyone knows?" she asked the four fairies who were now looking down at their plates
"In their defense, no one told me, I read it off Aisha's mind" Alex tried to soothe things down but that only made Bloom glare at Alex
"I guess that doesn't help, never mind"
"Is that why you freaked at the Vessel? That makes more sense, that's going to be the easiest assignment we'll have," Terra rambled as Musa mentioned for her to stop
'Terra, dude, stop' Alex told Terra through her mind
"and I'm making it worse... Hold on did you just talk to me through my thoughts" Terra's eyes widened as she smiled widely
"Uh, yeah sorry"
"So we have a plan to get my ring back" Stella and Sky approached the table placing some kind of map on the table,
"What's this?"
"It's Alfea" Terra grinned at the map in front of her
"The little dotted line is the barrier and that's Crag Creek" Sky looked at Alex who looked at the pair with boredom, she looked up to meet Sky's eyes as she smiled
'Hi' she spoke to him through telepathy, this got Sky pretty startled as he looked around wondering how Alex did that
'Mind fairy remember?'
'Right, sorry this is so weird'
'I know sorry' Alex laughed which made the group look at her
"Great story Ter" Stella interrupted Terra's story
"No, it's a really good story. Listen..."
Sky walked around the table so that he could sit next to Alex, "Um, Stella told me what happened last night. Are, are you okay?" he asked while looking into Alex's eyes, something he had never noticed was how beautiful Alex was, her sharp features and gorgeous light brown eyes, and the way her waves fell loosely on her shoulders made her even more attractive
"Uh, yeah I'm fine don't worry, I think Bloom has it worse than me" Alex dismissed, she never really liked being the center of attention, it made her feel.. off
"Well, I think you're worried even scared Alex, but you don't have to be. I'm sure they've got it under control"
